The app crashes every time I try to submit a new route. ### 1/5 — Great Training Board, App Ruins It *2025-11-24* The board is a great training board, the wood holds feel high quality, the plastic ones feel like a kids toy (wish there was more thought in the design and quality). The app is what takes this board from an 8/10 to a 2/10. It’s going to be impossible to build a community around this board with how difficult it is to navigate and use this app. It feels like 10 steps down from the kilter/tension app which is also already not great but at least I can find climbs I’m looking for on that UI. I select a climb, it doesn’t display. I select another climb, still doesn’t display. Select a third climb, ok it displays. Select first climb, still doesn’t display! I’m confused how this app even works. Why are some climbs displayed and others aren’t. How is this a marketable product that doesn’t do the most basic thing, display the climb I select? At least give me an error message that explains why some climbs are displayed and others aren’t. ### 2/5 — Please update the app *2025-12-12* This board has so much potential, but the app needs a refresh. The UI on the moon board is better than this and that’s saying something… I’m not one to write reviews but I really want this board to grow more. ### 2/5 — Good Board Bad App *2025-06-13* The board is awesome but the app is kind of wack. You can only sort problems by two features instead of just one. On my phone with the latest update the image of the board overlaps problem names and information so I can’t see the grade, if it’s any feet, angle, etc. The grades are all weird, if you filter by one grade like V5, for some reason you get a spread of grades that are NOT V5. Not sure what’s up with that. You can’t save problems and you can’t search for problems by name. Because the search is weird and the grade filter is inconsistent it can be challenging to find a problem in the app that you have seen before. I love the board but the app needs real work if there’s ever going to be any kind of interest in a larger population of climbers. ### 3/5 — Improvements needed *2025-01-03* App is clunky but fine. Really wish I could sort by popularity/rating. The inconsistent grading makes training very hard with the board. V2s can feel V2-6, and same goes for anything harder. With the pace of app development, I just do not see it ever being capable of doing all the things it needs to do. Have you guys thought about switching to the Aurora app? It has its limitations, but it is an overall great app. It would be such a major improvement. Please consider it. It would add value to the existing boards and they would immediately get more use. Every person who uses my board complains about the app and raves about the board. ### 3/5 — Board is great but app needs work *2024-03-05* The woods board is my favorite board i’ve climbed on so far. But the app needs some work. Currently, there is no way for multiple people to connect at the same time, so one person will need to disconnect in order to switch users. You also cannot save climbs yet, but that seems to be being worked on. Additionally, the board freezes and you have to restart it when you are creating new climbs, which is a little annoying.
