## What is Woodshed?

Woodshed is the practice room in your pocket — for the hours you spend learning jazz away from your instrument.

Most apps just slow a song down. Woodshed turns any recording into a regimen: carve a phrase into a tight loop, slow it down without changing the pitch, then drill it — sing it, play it, take it apart — until the music is in your ear, not just under your fingers.

PRACTICE ANYWHERE
On the train, on a walk, doing the dishes — anywhere you've got headphones. Woodshed is built for the woodshedding you do when the horn is still in its case.

IMPORT & LOOP IN SECONDS
• Bring in any audio file from Files or iCloud.
• Drag two handles to carve the exact phrase you want to work on.
• Set loop points on the fly while the music plays.
• Subdivide a solo into a run of smaller loops in one move.

SLOW IT DOWN — IN KEY
• Play from 50% to 100% speed with the pitch locked, so nothing sounds flat.
• Seamless A–B looping repeats the phrase for as long as you need.
• Drag a "repeat from" point to loop just the tail of a lick and come in from anywhere.

A PATH, NOT A PILE
Every loop moves through one simple practice pipeline:
Sing → Play → Deconstruct → Done.
Swipe a card forward when you've got it, back when you don't. Learn to hear it before you ever try to play it.

LISTEN MODE
Queue your solos — or all your loops — back-to-back and let them run. A hands-free session for the commute. Bookmark any moment you want to come back and loop.

WATCH THE WORK ADD UP
Woodshed counts only the time the audio is actually playing — pause and the clock stops. See practiced vs. listening minutes chart across the week, month, and year.

ORGANIZE YOUR WAY
• Tag loops ("ii-V-I," "rootless voicings," "bridge") and filter instantly.
• Keep every loop grouped under its song.
• Back up and restore your whole library as a single file.

MADE FOR HEADPHONES
• Full lock-screen and background playback.
• Skip between loops with an AirPods double- or triple-tap.
• Plays even with the ringer on silent.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Free, with no ads and no account. Everything lives on your device — no sign-up, no cloud, just you and the music.

Woodshed won't play the phrase for you. It gives you the room to shed it until it's yours.
