### 4/5 — Wealth of Needlecrafters Info

*2024-09-23, version 4.4*

Great site for discovering crochet & knit patterns. Like the filter feature.

### 4/5 — Good, but needs more features

*2023-02-14, version 4.3*

Would like more features like to be able to search more specifically or for free patterns.

### 4/5 — Helps me make good use of my time

*2022-02-08, version 4.2*

I can plan projects while on the go, allowing me to jump right in when I’m ready to sit down and start. Still waiting for better search filters, so 4 stars for now.

### 3/5 — Not for crochet folks

*2021-06-28, version 4.2*

Great if you knit, but still difficult to get around all the areas of Ravelry. I crochet and don't knit, but appreciate how pretty and well laid out the app is. Just for a certain segment of the yarn folk.

### 3/5 — Mediocre

*2018-08-03, version 4.0*

The app is pretty, but the functionality isn’t as robust as I would like.

 1. You can upload photos, but if you want to edit them, you need the pay version.
2. You can’t get more information on the patterns in the Discovery tab without paying, either.
3. The pattern search has been advertising that filters are “Coming soon!” since I downloaded the app... and they still haven’t come. That means that, since I don’t knit, I can’t make 75% of what the pattern search tab shows me.

Verdict: I’m unimpressed.

### 2/5 — Disappointed

*2017-12-17, version 3.5*

When looking at yarn in your stash it doesn’t show how many yards you have of this yarn. That’s one of the most important details. ☹️

### 1/5 — Wears the crochet part in the app

*2017-12-06, version 3.4*

I can’t find we’re the crochet patterns are they are all knit . I don’t knit . I crochet . I signed into Ravelry and nothing .

### 1/5 — Very Disappointed

*2017-11-22, version 3.4*

I should have read the details closer. You can view your projects. Cannot search patterns, view forums. You can view your projects. 😐 Save your money and just sign into Ravelry. Oh yeah, you have to sign into Ravelry every time you get in the app.

### 2/5 — Question

*2017-11-20, version 3.3*

I’m not sure what the benefit of this app is. It basically does the same thing Ravelry does but not as well.

### 1/5 — Hintenrum landet man doch bei Facebook

*2017-11-05, version 2.91*

### 1/5 — Pretty useless

*2017-10-31, version 2.91*

First of all, why do I need this funky FB login? WAAAAY too much trouble. Next, on my iPad, many menu items display one-off. For example, if I click on "my needles", I see my friends. If I click on "my friends", I see featured projects.

It’s actually easier to just access Ravelry with my browser on my mobile devices (even my PHONE) than to use this app.

### 1/5 — So you pay to download and you need IAP

*2017-06-18, version 2.91*

I'm very disappointed. It was presented to me as an easy way to manage the notebook on Ravelry but I can only do it if I take the In App purchase on top of already paying to downloading it... I feel scammed

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Can’t login anymore

*2020-05-08, version 4.1*

I don’t knit a super lot, but liked having the app to access Ravelry when I was out and about. But now I just can’t login anymore. I do have a new iPhone 11 with all the latest updates. So I’m wondering if Wooly has kept up with the iOS updates???

### 1/5 — Knitters little helpers...wooly

*2019-04-10, version 4.1*

I did not see anywhere this app was connected with Facebook. I never use anything to do with Facebook. I bought this a few hours ago and have deleted it. I’m very disappointed that facebooks connection wasn’t made clearer

### 1/5 — Needs More

*2019-02-05, version 4.1*

I like to look at other projects done with the same pattern when I use Ravelry. I also store a lot in my Ravelry library and this app doesn’t seem to allow access to either of those important functions.

### 1/5 — Useless and uses a Facebook service to log in

*2018-03-22, version 3.7*

Was happy there was finally an upgrade as I had uninstalled this app a long time ago.

Uses something called Account Kit to sign in which is a Facebook app. Apparently my FB info isn’t shared (and wouldn’t be since I used a different email address) so I gave it a shot. After confirming my email address was told I was logged in and directed back to the app which stayed on the same confirm email screen. Closed the app. Opened again. Same issue. Useless.

App developers should know that more and more people don’t want to use anything related to Facebook and now with the data privacy issues this is more of a concern to those who are more careful with their info.

I’m uninstalling this, again.

### 1/5 — Not worth the money.

*2018-03-20, version 3.7*

I feel like I have been ripped off. After you pay for the app, they want you to upgrade to the premium version for $10 a year. This is definitely not worth the money. Buy Ravit instead.

### 1/5 — 2/1/18: Can’t log in—only send “Confirmation Email”

*2018-02-01, version 3.5*

I’m a long standing customer. Since the most current update I am no longer able to log in. If the Facebook login is “optional”, why does the email login conveniently lead in a circle of no access? There is no way to contact customer support—“page not found.” I’ll wait a few days, and if no customer service response, will delete.

### 1/5 — Not as good as I hoped

*2018-01-22, version 3.5*

Looking for a yarn and needle inventory. Ravery is a clunky site and hoping app would make it useable. Not so. Entered something in Yarn and it doesn’t show where to delete. Help!

### 1/5 — Bait and switch

*2018-01-12, version 3.5*

So I’ve had woolly for a while, paid for the app. Now I see you have to pay again for features that were once free. Total bait and switch, and even though I paid for it it’s now worthless. I’m deleting it from my phone. Just stick with the Rav website - don’t bother purchasing this app for less usability.

### 1/5 — Why is this app changing my FB logon?

*2018-01-01, version 3.5*

I logged on with FB and the app makes it seem that I am setting my Wooly password but it ended up resetting FB. That’s too close of a connection for me. Deleted and I’m out my $$. 😡

### 1/5 — Review

*2017-12-16, version 3.5*

I’d give 0 but I paid for this crappy app! Can not access Raverly unless you want to pay $9.99 a year. Bull hockey! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS APP! False advertising!! Very unsatisfied !! Crap app!!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Good ap

*2024-07-30, version 4.4*

Nice to have this interface with Ravelry

### 5/5 — Patterns, patterns and more patterns

*2022-12-15, version 4.3*

I have found lots of cute projects here. Just so much fun to explore.

### 5/5 — Love this app!

*2022-09-25, version 4.3*

I love being able to access my projects and find patterns easily.

### 5/5 — My go-to mobile app for Ravelry

*2022-01-16, version 4.2*

I love Wooly. I mainly use it for adding and updating my stash. Yes, there might not be every single feature that’s on Ravelry, but you can easily get to the webpage in Ravelry from within Wooly, plus it’s easier than the full browser Ravelry on my phone. Image editing is only available from the paid version, and that’s about right to me. It’s only $9.99 a year, people, which for the convenience, is so reasonable. I like to support the developer(s) who created it. I am a Web developer, myself, and I know the work that goes into programming. Way to go, Wooly people!

### 5/5 — Wooly is great

*2020-01-15, version 4.1*

I love this app. It’s my go to when I want to see beautiful work. It functions great and there is plenty of eye candy to give me new ideas and keep me motivated to try new projects.

### 5/5 — Great update

*2017-11-21, version 3.4*

I was an early adapter of the app and I really enjoyed it. I drifted away from it for awhile and have now come back with this latest update. I really like it! The app is easy to use and though it is an add on, I really like the photo editing tool. This update is great.
The app is clean and smooth and easy to navigate. It is great to have Ravelry in my pocket!

### 5/5 — Wooly

*2017-11-05, version 3.3*

Very unhappy with this app. It crashes every single time I try to search. Please fix this. I should've spent that $3.99 on yarn instead.

Update on my previous review: my contact with wooly support fixed the crash problem and also helped me with uploading pictures on my iPhone. I wish I would have contacted them before I wrote my previous review. It is a fun and helpful app!

Another review update: I love Wooly 3.3. Very user friendly! Excellent customer service for questions—very good response time.

### 5/5 — Ravelry on the go

*2017-08-05, version 2.91*

Brilliant for uploading snaps from your phone directly to your ravelry account and showing off your work when you're out.

### 5/5 — App

*2017-04-19, version 2.91*

I love the app

### 5/5 — Still the best

*2017-01-24, version 2.91*

I've been using this since the early days and have loved watching it develop. Keep up the good work!
