### 3/5 — Thanks but UI improvements?

*2026-05-23, version 5.0.24*

Please allow text resizing and label the obscure little icons (three domains) Yes the video identifies the domains but i forgot since watching it. Now I’m faced with figuring out what an apple means and two others i can’t identify (a pen?)

### 4/5 — Hope

*2025-11-13, version 5.0.24*

Anyone who has studied hope theory knows that this app is a simple yet perfect way of recording the wish we have and the strategies or alternative paths ways we can use is a problem arises. My only feedback would be if it could have more than one alternative pathway. Otherwise it is simple but does the job 😊

### 2/5 — This app was mid

*2025-01-29, version 5.0.21*

It could use some work honestly I think it's quite repetitive how every goal follows the same format and the 3-6 words restricts you from explaining in detail what they are.

### 3/5 — Edit responses? Why not?

*2024-08-13, version 5.0.10*

The way it is set up, one is more than likely to create a woop that is a gobbledygook of words because it doesn’t tell you how to phrase it. Easy to fix. Give an example or show how it will be set up. Plus allow it to be edited so it makes sense instead of always ending up a word salad.

### 4/5 — Helpful

*2022-09-03, version 4.9.1*

The concept is so helpful. What would improve the app is to
1. Add a little more room to type, especially in the planning phase.
2. Allow edits once complete. I know for myself I need to look at the plan throughout the day and may find a revision of the plan very helpful, but the app requires you to rewrite the whole thing instead of being able to make any changes.

### 3/5 — Recurring reminders?

*2021-07-26, version 4.8*

I'd love to be able to set recurring reminders so I don't forget about my WOOPs (or the app itself!)

### 3/5 — Excited but confused

*2021-06-18, version 4.8*

I’m excited to try this, I just got it in the mail today. However the video in the app doesn’t have any sound though I tried to do everything on my end just in case it was my phone, so I’m not sure if its a bug or something… and so far there are no directions on how to set it up (not sure if it would be in the audio to the video) so far I give it 3 stars because of having to Google and YouTube videos to get started versus the app being more user friendly and showing me what to do next. So far I have the box with the parts labeled, the app that says add whoop which leads to a goal setting exercise, and that’s it. Any advice on how to connect the strap, turn it on, etc would be very helpful.

### 4/5 — They should add an “S” step, for “self-transcending purpose

*2021-05-21, version 4.8*

I dunno why they haven’t integrated the research from Their colleague David Yeager, which showed that people need a ‘self transcendent purpose’ to tie together all the tasks of life and to push us through the boring parts of the journey. Without this part, users will not benefit from the app or from self-regulation techniques generally. I wouldn’t given this app 5 stars but it’s lacking that key ingredient: the ‘north star’ of purpose that guides us.

### 3/5 — Suggestions!

*2021-02-16, version 4.8*

I love the idea of WOOP! I wish there was a way to have the app remind you of your WOOPs and a better way to track your progress. For example if my WOOP is a month long, it would be nice to get a notification once a day for a month to work on that goal. I could then check off that I worked on it that day in the app and the app would automatically measure my progress based on how many days I actually worked towards it.

### 4/5 — Helpful app

*2020-11-24, version 4.7*

I agree with other reviewers that it would be much better if we could edit previous entries to correct or adjust them.

### 4/5 — Editing Capability

*2020-09-20, version 4.7*

I like this app because I like the philosophy behind its creation. I had listened to a podcast in which Gabriele Oettingen was interviewed and I was sold on the ideas and the practice of WOOP.

One thing I would love for the app to have is an editing feature to the outcome, obstacle and plan sections, as it is now, what you write is final.

Also, it would be nice to have a comment section for the % scale that measures progress, where a user can write down what steps they had taken to get to the percentage they record on their journey to accomplishing their outcome.

### 2/5 — Glitch in app

*2020-09-01, version 4.7*

App does not allow you to edit a goal.
The time I enter to be reminded of my goal and plan is not the time the app records. It’s usually out by half an hour or more.

### 3/5 — A very good start but could use a lot of other features.

*2020-06-05, version 4.6.8*

Super excited about learning about WOOP. Liked that there was an app to track goals/ habits/ wishes. A very good start but could use a lot of other features that could really make this a powerful tool.

### 4/5 — Everything is deleted

*2019-12-12, version 4.6.2*

I loved this app, it was working really well for me.. One day i opened it & all my goals had disappeared. Each time I would rewrite my goals they would be gone the next day. Not sure what happened???? I would love to continue using it if it worked & if I could edit what I wrote. I never was able to go back and edit anything.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — 3-5 words isn’t effective

*2025-11-05, version 5.0.24*

I appreciate this sect of behavioral health strategies, but this app is poorly executed as far as giving users the freedom to actually describe their Wish, Outcome, obstacle, and plan

### 1/5 — I would give it 0.5 stars if possible

*2025-10-22, version 5.0.24*

It’s basically a wish app doesn’t help you reach a goal it just helps you wish it will come true. It does help you plan on how to meet it just what to do in case the worst case scenario would happen. In theory this app would be a great tool however it really matters on you as a person and what type of support you need if your like me and need structure to help you out WOOP won’t help you at all.

### 1/5 — Trash

*2025-01-29, version 5.0.21*

This app stinks!!!

### 1/5 — Not great

*2025-01-29, version 5.0.21*

Not great

### 1/5 — App keeps crashing

*2023-04-30, version 4.9.1*

The app keeps crashing partway through my WOOP process.

### 1/5 — Yuck

*2019-12-10, version 4.6.2*

A very annoying app. I didn’t like it and it’s a waste of time IMO.

### 1/5 — Pop psychology

*2018-11-10, version 4.4.1*

This is a joke. The developers really can’t be taken seriously. An embarrassment to the profession

### 1/5 — Bad UX

*2018-05-29, version 4.4*

I understand the science behind what the app is attempting to get you to do, but it’s as if the designer of this app just slacked off 80% of the way through. You can’t edit anything once you create an If-Then sequence, you need to redo everything from scratch which is incredibly frustrating, especially since the instructions aren’t clear asking “what your obstacle is.”

### 1/5 — Don’t see how this thing could be scientifically approved.

*2018-02-28, version 4.4*

Could you add an explanation of how exactly this is supposed to work?
Like a guide or something?

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2018-01-18, version 4.3*

Doesn’t work on iOS. No menu, no navigation and one blank page. Too bad because I enjoyed the book.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Simple and helpful tool

*2025-06-01, version 5.0.21*

The structure this provides is incredibly helpful. It’s useful when I know there’s something I really don’t want to do.

### 5/5 — Very helpful, woop a next version

*2025-05-31, version 5.0.21*

I love the simple concept of woop for goal setting and am finding it very helpful. This app supports wooping in a very simple, orderly way.

I agree with the other reviewer that with a few modifications, the app could be even more useful. I hope the author will take up the woop of talking to users and delivering a next version that can make even more impact. Thank you, love this!

### 5/5 — عالی هست‌زبون‌ فارسی هم‌ داره

*2024-09-08, version 5.0.12*

عالی هست ‌زبون‌ فارسی هم‌داره من‌خودم‌علاقه مند شدم به این روش و اینکه اموزشش دارم میدم و مدرس این موضوع هم هستم

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2024-02-26, version 4.9.1*

This is a wonderful app. I use it when I need to set a goal and feel I need a clear path. Science backed!! App is in my hands so I can’t misplace my focus and goal,

### 5/5 — Wow simple and efficient

*2023-06-30, version 4.9.1*

It’s strange, but for search “woop app” unexpected results: you are on 2nd place, after “whoop” crazy tricky search algorithms..
You are doing well!

### 5/5 — عالی

*2021-11-15, version 4.8*

ممنون از شما؛ برنامه خیلی خوب و‌ کارآمدی ساختید
ممنون که زبان فارسی رو هم در برنامه قرار دادید

### 5/5 — The must have fixed all the bugs.

### 5/5 — Works well, easy to use, I like it

*2021-02-13, version 4.8*

It’s got everything you need to do WOOPs. It’s easy and works flawlessly. It saves your WOOPs so you can review them. Love it.

### 5/5 — Excellent for following through

*2020-01-15, version 4.6.5*

If I have a task I’m avoiding or just not doing consistently, I go through the WOOP process. It’s so simple but powerful. Last night I even used it before going out with friends to make sure I didn’t overeat. Highly recommended app.

### 5/5 — Russian language

*2019-12-03, version 4.6.2*

The app is great. Please add russian language.
