Horrible to see an XL dictionary having poor and missing definitions. I do not recommend. I luckily found another app with better definition and origin of the word. 
See for example the entry of the word totdat.

Excellent Dutch dictionary. Very complete, with examples and recommendations on word usage. The color scheme is not very appealing, although I understand the association of orange and Dutch. The app should be given full retina display compatibility.
