It keeps my mind sharp to look for all kinds of words at various angles. All of a sudden the screen no longer comes up horizontal, but when the game starts it is stuck in the vertical position.The game used to allow one to play with the letters horizontally, or rotate the entire screen to be 180° in the other direction, or play the game vertically. Now when the game starts one can’t rotate the screen the screen remains locked in the vertical position and it’s hard to play the game 100% of the time stuck in the vertical position. ### 3/5 — Abacus *2022-04-27* Abacus needs further refining. Then it abruptly ends. I can’t even see what level I was on before it starts on level one again. I do have a major gripe with it though.... No matter how many times I have played this game, I can’t get past level 14... can anyone else? It seems to just shoot out the red circles of death continuously after like, level 10 and it gets worse from 11 to 14, you just don’t get enough time to get rid of them al even if you make words with multiple red circled letters, plus it seems like the game also seals your fate by putting out more and more Xs and Zs and Qs! The makers of this game really should slow up on the red circled letters and allow more vowels... oh and don’t limit the three letter words, we should be able to use them when and if we can! ### 3/5 — Frustrated *2020-10-21, version 1.6.2* I love this game...BUT, each time you get to an interesting level....and your highest score, the game ends. Or just when it’s becoming interesting (level 12 onwards) you can never beat your previous score because you get a message “ “new highest score”, or “longest word achievement”....and bam, your back to level 1 😫 It would be great if the creators could give you the option of continuing the game, even if you have got your longest word - it feels like you are penalized because you’ve done a better job!! And also a back button, for those odd times when you realize you’ve missed a letter. Apart from that I love it! It freezes on a discontinued game, and sometimes the colored letters don’t show up unless you stop and reload the game. It's very difficult how many bars remain on a letter; I've had too many premature "game over" because the visual distinction isn't obvious enough. What is really getting on my nerves, is that once you reach about level 14, it starts throwing "X"s & "Z"s at you. It sets you up, that you cannot win at all – it's not even possible. You can be Miriam freakin' Webster and you will not win this game. In other words, it's not fair. For that reason, I'm getting quite tired of this potentially great game. Resolve for this problem would be to just suddenly crash, or, just make a statement that I'm too smart for you. Wish they did make it so hard as you level up, but it’s much better than it used to be. I "hinted" to the creator to update this App., and guess what? TLogic.de's Kevin Atkinson and his team did so! Thank you! This is one of my two favorite games, as I play only a few. It offers a fun challenge and keeps my mind active. It COSTS NOTHING to give it try and I encourage you to do so. Stress diminishes after a few minutes with this game. It nudges you into looking for longer words...increasing focus challenge and enjoyment. Remember words not used as much anymore. FUN!
