When I win a game the point goes to the other players. This has been going on for awhile now, so I know playing should be for fun, but why bother? My percentage doesn’t go up, I am trying to better my score but doesn’t make a difference! **Developer response:** Thanks for the review! "Goose" is also a verb, so "gooses" can be correct. You can send suggestions for adding/removing words to help@wordbattling.com You are brought to the friend tournament after finishing the current game. If your friend has left the game or started it beforehand, you may be brought to an empty lobby. ### 4/5 — Great game, but scoring has gone wrong *2026-05-03* Addicted to this game, but in April the scoring started going wrong. If I beat another player now the number of games that they have won over me goes up instead of the other way round. Developers, please fix ! ### 4/5 — Can’t get past the ads *2025-09-02* Both Word Champs and Word Battle need fixing. I’ve had to delete both apps about 3 times because I can’t get past the ads. Once they come up when you first open the game, that’s it. It has the option to go to the App Store and that’s it, you can’t play the game. I’m going to delete both apps for good and find something else if not fixed soon. It causes you not to be able to collect coins which is highly frustrating and most of all very unfair to the players. ### 4/5 — Hot Lips *2025-08-11* The games good but I find it’s copying a better version of a game I’m playing just now called Word Champs. Sometimes you get a poor selection of letter. I would say give it a go but try word champs too. ### 4/5 — Where have the tournaments gone? *2025-03-01* I’ve played this for a few years every day, think it’s great but had to re-download it and start again (I lost my password) and now there are no tournaments offered, which was my favourite thing. Is this because it thinks I’m ’a newbie’ or has something gone wrong? ### 2/5 — Hot Lips *2024-11-14, version 10.6.11* The games good but I find it’s copying a better version of a game I’m playing just now called Word Champs. ### 4/5 — Love it but those who look up words from an App spoil it *2024-10-17* I've been playing this game for a number of years and love it; however, how can I compete with those who put down obscure words that you know they won't have found themselves. Then there are those who never think of their own words and try to spy on you, putting down the exact same word. I used to wait until the 11th hour before putting my word down so that they couldn't do this but, if you are the first to put down that word, and you tie with one or more players, whoever put down their word first and/or had more letters than other players, wins. ### 3/5 — Work needed *2024-01-27* I love this game and used to play it often. I don’t so much anymore because I’m so tired of people spying on what I’m writing and stealing my suggested good words. I think you should remove this option since it’s the same as cheating and plenty of the players use it. Also, it would nice to get a bonus if you make word using all the letters. **Developer response:** If a letter has yellow colored points then it has more points than the same letter would normally have. If there's a x2 sign next to the point value, then it will multiply the total word point value by 2. The spy option won't let you surpass the opponent - at best it can give you an identical score in the round. At the end of the game, the player who placed the word first will win if the score is equal. ### 3/5 — Love this game *2023-10-06, version 10.5.13* Love playing but it freezes up frequently and it also refuses to load. It is the only game on my device that does that, so I assume it is a problem with the app. I also find that it’s a bit stingy with the coins earned to play. There have been words that I know are words but then something like gooses is allowed? Isn’t the plural of goose geese? And, some racist words are allowed as well🤔. Also, when a “friend” invites us to play in a tournament and I accept, we could never connect? Only one time I made it to the tournament lobby, but no one was there? Not sure how to get there? That’s really annoying when your opponent submits a completely made up word and it scores points. They ought to be connected to a proper dictionary. ‘Soiliest’?? We played against 4 time, thrice yesterday and once today, and I won each game, but, surprisingly and to my utter dismay, all my 4 wins have been recorded in her favor!!!!! WHY, WHY, WHY???? ### 1/5 — This game is a joke *2024-11-24, version 10.6.11* I’ve entered many words that are not accepted and looked them up later. I found them to be real words. Maybe your admins need to bone up on their vocabulary. I’m not coming back to this game. And also remove the spying button. Have reached Level 71 but am frequently being advised I need to ‘create a profile’ and then can’t access the game without deleting the app, then reinstalling it. They have decided that users no longer want to see clean, functional design, and they don’t want to use this on their iPads—which stand up in landscape. Redesign looks like they made this game to look good on a motorola flip phone from the 1990s (maybe?) and the screen doesn’t rotate anymore. Bring back the old design, fire whomever it was that convinced you they were good at Communication Design, hire a real designer, then see about updating.
