Makes Wordle much more interesting to pit your wits (and vocabulary) against another player!! ### 5/5 — UPDATED: Great App for Learning words and Competition *2022-07-09, version 1.1.2* The developer was correct with the existence of of a replay button. It actually was a very obvious button, but I missed it. Also the chat feature recommendation was taken and implemented in a great and simple way. It’s in a corner opposite of the confirm button which looks really well done in my opinion. Overall, I’m very pleased and highly suggest you give this app a try if you are on the fence. Also if you have any recommendations or suggestions, it seems this developer is willing to listen and take those into consideration. ————— Original Review for Reference (4 > 5 Stars): I love the game and introduced it to a family member. Now, we are constantly competing over and over again. The game is smooth to play and load, however, I feel that it is missing 3 features that “should exist” in my opinion. 1) A “Rematch” button that eliminates the need to go back to the menu, click friends list, find that person in your friend list, and press the play button. (This is obviously referring to specific people you play against but might also be cool to rematch other opponents) 2) A chat feature would be nice, or at least a button to say good game at the end of a match. I feel that this would help to create a “community” feeling within the game and matches the competitive nature of the gameplay. 3) I would appreciate the ability to fill in the letters on a “letter-by-letter basis.” By this, I mean that the ability to place letters into any of the 5 spaces without the need to place a filler letter in the prior spaces would be nice. —For example, if my objective word was “mount” and I guessed “front”, I would know the “nt” portion is correct in spots 4 & 5, and “o” would go in either slot 1 or 2. I only want to play with my friends: how can I prevent the app from getting random requests to play? It’s annoying. UPDATE: OH, SO MANY BUGS. It lets the opponent play consecutive turns without a chance for the opponent to play. I’ve tried that a coupon of times, so it wasn’t isolated. Played it a lot but when I got my gf to download it for some reason she wasn’t able to create an account as the usernames she chose kept saying taken after initially saying available! Could be an issue there potentially. Although she is currently in the United States but didn’t think it was an area thing since she could find and download it from App Store ### 3/5 — Too much waiting *2023-06-30, version 1.2.0* I like it but I want to get the word fight done in much shorter time than 24 hours and the need to wait around to race the person because you can’t submit your next word guess ahead of time (the biggest flaw) so you know the answer but can’t enter it but then the other person enters two guesses after you get sick of waiting around to be able to take your turn ### 4/5 — Good but doesn’t allow ties *2022-09-25, version 1.2.0* Great two player version of wordle but the problem is you sometimes lose just because you are waiting for your opponent to make a move before being allowed to make your guess and then they do two moves in a row whilst you are off doing other things. Winning should purely be based on the number of moves made not the fastest time. ### 4/5 — enjoyable game *2022-07-15, version 1.1.2* fun game overall. but it doesn't require you to put in an email and password at the beginning. if you sign out you can’t login again because you need to put in an email and password. i accidentally logged out and i dont want to lose my progress. ————————— update: i created a new account and ive added an email and password, in terms of an actual review i think the game is fun to play and slightly addictive however i think you should change it so when signing up you must enter and email and password so this cant happen to people. ### 4/5 — A couple bugs *2022-07-09, version 1.1.2* I enjoy the game, but the 24 hour timeout doesn’t work consistently—started games with 2 different family members at the same time, and one expired while the other continued with 14 hours left. No rhyme or reason to it that we can determine—frustrating enough to get people to stop playing. ### 4/5 — Great concept *2022-06-23, version 1.1.2* The ability to get 2 turns in and win feels a bit unfair. I think some players deliberately wait for a while to take their turn to manipulate this. I’ve had the winning word ready to go but can’t enter it because the opponent won’t play their word, I get sick of waiting and go and do other things like - work. Nek minit, they’re back and played 2 words and won by the time the notification comes in. Have you considered a draw when the word is guessed on same turn, and also not showing each turn until both players have completed the turn? ### 5/5 — Hours of fun for me and my husband *2024-08-03, version 1.2.0* I never review apps, but my husband and I love Wordle and looked forever to try to find something that we could play against one another that was kind of like Wordle. We downloaded this months ago and have played at least one round against each other daily, but we generally will play several throughout the day! I don’t play with strangers—only my husband! Players deliberately manipulating the game to play their two turns when you have given up waiting. I think a great tweak to the game would be if your word is sitting their waiting it should be able to be sent as soon as they play theirs even if you are not there to press send. I have lost quite a few games to players strategically waiting for you to go even though I’ve solved it.
