The UI is awful. Once you go into a puzzle there is nothing else. No menu. And at the start it shows their new game. If I can make 2 or more words of the same letters, game knows only one. 2. Not many words as a random dictionary has 3. Could have a “next round” buttons to proceed to next words 4. There’s no points, coins, stars or even levels to mark your progress. Would implement a more complete 5-letter word list or better way to fetch them. Also, a difficulty setting would be cool. From one game to the next, words are often repeated, which becomes annoying instead of fun. 2. There is no way to end a game if you haven't solved all four words. You can close the app, but when you try to start over, it returns to the unfinished game. 3. The game would be more fun if the app included a link to something like the Anagram Solver app, so that if you decided to give up on a word, you could easily see option(s) you missed. I've downloaded the Anagram Solver app, and I do refer to it when I'm stumped, but it's a pain because you have to close down the Word Jam app, open the Anagram Solver, find the answer, close down the Anagram Solver app, reopen the Word Jam app, and finally correct the word left unsolved. TOO MUCH LIKE WORK. There are other worthwhile suggestions among the listed reviews. Someone should be taking note of them. I can get to the screen with the four rows of letters but when I tap the letters to make words - nothing. I can't even go to another screen to look for help or directions. Could you help me understand more about what progress you would look for? ### 4/5 — WORD JAM *2017-06-08* A Challenging Word Scramble / Jumble. UI improvement would help: The last letter of the last word immediately closes screen & displays next 4-word puzzle. It would be nice to have a short time delay or NEXT Button to see what the last correct word actually was (see letter movement issues in previous review.) A nice App, thanks for your work - looking forward to more + better ! ### 2/5 — UI doesn't work well *2017-04-24* The UI, as has been mentioned, does not work well. The letters do not drag properly. For example, a letter often cannot be dragged to the end of the word or sometimes just drops any old place, not where I've dragged it. There are sometimes multiple words that can be made from the letters given, but you have to mind read to figure out which one the game "wants". There are no clues, so there isn't a way to determine, other than by trial and error, which word is the "correct" one. I'd also like to see a bit more delay when the final letter of the last word to be solved in each puzzle is placed so one can see all the words. This game has potential, but the flaws above really hurt the playability. **Developer response:** This has been really helpful feedback. Thank you. I will look resolve all these issues! ### 2/5 — Loved this game until . . . *2017-04-23* Wonderful 5 star rated game until the April 18th update. Now letters do not drag and drop easily. They are hard to move and often jump back to their former position. Also started cutting the game off immediately after the last letter of the last word is in place instead of pausing like before. Please make these corrections so I can give a five star review. Thanks for your quick response! I have iPhone 6 Plus and am running the latest update 10.3.1. Need to keep the last word solved on screen longer...need a pause or a chance to move to the next screen by oneself. ### 2/5 — Half-baked. *2017-04-07, version 1.4* 1. When grabbing a tile to reposition it, the animation is very jerky, and the tiles move in a very annoying, unnatural way (like HyperCard in the 80s). It's difficult to describe, but in 2017 there's no excuse for such sloppy programming. 2. As other reviewers have mentioned, the app always wants a *specific* word spelled — even if those same letters can be used to spell other, perfectly legitimate, common words. This is flat-out inexcusable. This app never should have been released in its present form. Developer: Finish the app. ### 2/5 — Needs improvement *2017-04-07, version 1.4* Good concept, poorly executed. If the letter combinations spell more than one word it will still only accept one particular word, without any clues as to which word it is looking for. ### 2/5 — Needs Work *2017-04-06, version 1.4* The touch controls is a good concept, but they are poorly executed. The dictionary needs updating. Take the letters R C A E for example. I spelled "CARE" then I spelled "RACE." The game would not move to next level until I spelled "ACRE." Please improve! ### 2/5 — Just ok. Needs work. *2017-04-06, version 1.4* As a fan of word jumble games I had high hopes for this one. After playing a few games I became aware that there is only one correct answer that the game will accept. For instance, if the game is looking for "BEARD" it won't accept "BREAD" or "BARED".
