A great addition to my daily game addiction!

### 5/5 — This app is crazy good!

*2016-04-18, version 1.5*

I LOVE this app!!! It is SO addictive! I have played it every day since day one. It is that good. The strategy involved is very compelling and it just keeps getting harder to finish a level. Just want to see how far I can actually go. It's always engrossing. Love. Love.

### 5/5 — Word tower addiction

*2016-03-25, version 1.3*

This little game is quite addictive and tests the brain finding words to use combinations of multiples as well as preventing towers from reaching the top. Not whizzy at all but very enjoyable!😊

### 5/5 — great game

### 5/5 — Brill!

### 5/5 — WORD. TOWER

A great game, amazing the words you get hours of fun,, no ads

### 5/5 — Compulsive

*2016-03-11, version 1.2*

Can't stop playing ... Totally compulsive.
Husband also now playing ... Conversation on hold.

### 5/5 — Best word game

*2016-02-18, version 1.1*

Like other Boy Howdy games, this is a clever and clear game, easy to start, but soon becomes challenging! A great way of testing your vocabulary. Love it!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Very offensive ads now shown during game

*2016-03-08, version 1.1*

Fun app and I don't mind the ads scrolling across the bottom BUT today a very offensive ad appeared with sound not once or twice but repeatedly in less than 5 minutes. Don't recall what it was for, some TV show, I think, but the loud, annoying baaing of sheep startled me and I was shocked that the message includes multiple F*cks in it. Your game is no longer appropriate for my family and will be removed.

### 3/5 — Great Brain Exercise

*2025-08-02, version 1.21*

I can spend hours of my life playing this game. Just don’t take climbing the levels too seriously. The major issue with it is, eventually it will give you an unplayable board. You simply cannot drop three columns of all consonants right next to each other and expect anyone to spell something from it. There becomes no possible way to go forward. So, you just have to bail on that game and start over. It would be more fun to at least be given the opportunity to keep climbing, but it’s still fun!

### 3/5 — Interesting!

*2024-07-17, version 1.19*

As I move through the levels it gets more difficult. That is as it should be! It just seems that too many letters drop at once so it becomes nerve racking.

### 3/5 — Good game, near impossible to win at higher levels

*2023-03-03, version 1.14*

The games is challenging, but once you get to level 100 or thereabouts, it's next to impossible to win. What is needed are elements from Word Jewels: the ability to earn up to 3 jewels upon successful level completion, the ability to use a jewel to swap two letters or shuffle the board, and/or the ability to use more than one bomb per game.
No one likes to play when they can't win anymore, so I find myself not playing this game any longer.

### 4/5 — Love this game…but

*2025-11-23, version 1.23*

I wish as the levels get higher it would give more bombs. Hard to get close to passing a level, spending days to get there then getting an unplayable board. I still enjoy it though. Very relaxing if I don’t take it too seriously.

### 4/5 — Great Game

*2017-02-06, version 1.8*

After a while the stacks get too high too fast but it is a lot of fun getting to that point. Boy Howdy scores again!

### 5/5 — Boy Howdy Tech has NO EQUAL

*2025-12-04, version 1.23*

I NEVER expected the thorough customer service I received for my question. You don't find this kind of service anywhere- anymore. IMPRESSED BEYOND MEASURE. I already LOVED their games, especially this one, but after being treated like royalty by the developers over a question I had, my enjoyment will be doubled. Other developers should take notice. Boy Howdy can show them how it's done.

### 5/5 — Love this Game!

*2025-09-20, version 1.21*

Love this game because it is very challenging especially when you play for some time!

### 5/5 — Jewels Tower

*2025-08-11, version 1.21*

This game is VERY frustrating bc it shows my limits of imagination quickly. I have a love/hate relationship with this game!

### 5/5 — Word Tower

*2020-11-09, version 1.13*

Used to love this game but now I am on level 151 any progress is very slow. The opportunity to use a bomb was given very early on - I need another to feel I can keep playing!

## Most praised reviews (6 highest-rated)

*2017-06-21, version 1.9*

Totally addicting game! Great fun and challenging. BoyHowdy did it again: a free game I like better than the paid ones.

### 5/5 — Word Tower

*2017-05-18, version 1.9*

This game is great but after a certain level your not going to win, the letters stack up to fast, plus you can't make words from the letters that drop, frustrating!

### 5/5 — Good Game

*2017-03-16, version 1.8*

It's a very good little game to pass away the time. No advertising which is a big plus.

### 5/5 — Another Game Winning Download!

*2016-06-20, version 1.5*

So easy to play and a great way to pass the time away.

### 5/5 — Boy oh boy, howdy!
