## What is Word Links?

Word Links: Aphasia Practice is a free, calm app for adults living with aphasia or other language difficulties, often after a stroke or brain injury. You practise finding and linking words at your own pace, with no timer and no pressure.

Each question shows you one word. Your task is to choose the word, or words, that go with it. You read short feedback after each answer, then move on at your own pace. There is no timer and no pressure. You can repeat any level as often as you like. 

The app has twelve levels that build gently from easy to harder. Early levels offer two or three choices. Later levels ask you to find several words that link to the first one. Each level has more than one set of questions, so there is plenty to practise.

Word Links was created by George Webb, a speech and language therapist registered with the HCPC, drawing on approaches used in speech and language therapy. It is designed as practice to use between therapy sessions, or while waiting for therapy. It is not a course of treatment and is not a substitute for working with a speech and language therapist.
