The AI being used is ridiculously unfair. Every single time I came up with a great word, it used an unfair word to counter what I used. NO FUN AT ALL WHEN THE AI IS UNFAIR WITH ITS CHEATING! Especially when it is using letters that only it can score big with. SAD! SAD! SAD! Try using an AI THST DOESN’T WIN EVERY “F”ING TIME! TRULY PATHETIC AI BEING USED! Aber ansonsten klare Empfehlung ### 4/5 — Favorite Game, but… *2026-03-11, version 4.0.7* I’ve played this game for countless hours and I love it. But, there’s a “feature” I guess we can call it, where if at the end of a match you have one or two tiles left, the game will just end and proclaim the winner. I thought this was because the program knew that there were no more moves that would produce a winner. But that’s not true… the game ended and proclaimed itself the winner by one point (322-323), but I still had a “T” tile, and there was a place for me to spell “Tad”, which would’ve made me winner with 4 additional points while the game had no more squares to play. Dirty. But otherwise, it’s a good time wasting game. ### 3/5 — Fixed *2026-02-20, version 4.0.7* I love Scrabble, and this game is very good. Having won too many times on the Easy level, I started the Hard level. I have been playing it for a while, enough to realise that mostly I will lose. I can get good scores but the game invariably comes up with a better one, whilst dealing me too many vowels. It also seems to have all the right letters nearly all the time. I don’t mind a challenge, but it needs to be a fair one. This isn’t. ### 5/5 — Improvement In Play *2025-12-29, version 4.0.7* Been useful in getting repetition play. Merci. ### 3/5 — Problem with game freezing *2025-08-24, version 4.0.6* This is a problem I had quite a while ago which I reported via the app. It has now happened twice in the last week. However the send a message button in app doesn’t work on my iPhone 16. The game has frozen right at the end when I have made the last winning move which remains highlighted. The message iPhone is thinking comes in and everything stops. If I turn the phone off and on again the game tells me there is another game in progress but if I click on it I am back to freeze. I have to start a new game to get round the problem. Editing the dictionary also good. And, it is really easy to learn a new word's meaning by swiping on it - an innovative feature. Perhaps a bit too permissive in accepting obscure words, e.g. obsolete words. On the whole, great. And, this Word Master–Pro game is without ads. A nice scrabble game without silly cartoons or awards. Every enthusiast should appreciate it immensely. Thank you! No doubt it would be a significant undertaking to create a Wordmaster version that would allow people to play each other instead of just the program. However, I believe enough people would pay for the opportunity to have a solid play environment without constant ads, bots, artificial barriers to play, and violations of privacy far beyond what is disclosed in everyday terms. I hope such a version will some day be available. ### 5/5 — Fantastic Scrabble game *2025-06-30, version 4.0.6* Wow! This is a fantastic app. We used to enjoy playing the Scrabble app, but this is so much better. No longer do you need to mourn the loss of that old app. You can configure the board anywhere you like, and play at a variety of levels. Everything about this game is aesthetically pleasing and a joy to use. And the developer is very responsive to suggestions. Don’t hesitate to get the pro version. Manage to win one game, and you will loose the next five. Games start with the app. getting multiple 7 letter words on the fly. You can predict behaviour in that you’ll consistently end up with a tray of vowels or a tray of consonants in games that you’re guaranteed to loose. Not worth the money. I’m happy to be beaten fair and square, but not by a computer game that’s clearly rigged. Avoid. ### 1/5 — Love this game but *2024-11-29, version 4.0.4* Zen is in the American English dictionary! One of the worst things is that the letters are jumpy and not smooth when the phone's tiles are being laid down. It's also less clear to use. Total disaster. ### 1/5 — Antisemitic Language *2024-03-03, version 3.8.4* When playing against the computer, the game has often played “Jew,” which is properly used only as a proper noun but also has an antisemitic meaning that is not a proper noun. Today, the computer played “Jewie.” These are far from the only offensive slurs the computer plays. Clean up your damned act. There is no justification for reinforcing ignorance or hatred. ### 1/5 — Another waste of money *2023-11-14, version 3.8.4* Word Master Pro was recommended by a tech review as an ad free scrabble game. Unfortunately the game only operates in portrait mode and I use my iPad only in landscape mode. It’s very disappointing as I love scrabble and I just want one that doesn’t have ads and was hoping this was it. One would be an option to force the program to accept a word which isn’t in its dictionary.
