It has become addictive such that I'm always trying to beat the times that I spent to solve earlier puzzles. Very interesting and fun game. If I start a puzzle I don't need a half hour reserved to finish it. It is colorful which I also like and it's responsive to your touch so selecting a word is fast and accurate. It's pretty basic but that's what I wanted so I can play just a few minutes here and there. Update: After writing the earlier review I got an offer popped up in the game app that said I could unlock all categories...IF..... I wrote a good review. I think I have tried them all but this app is the best so far and I would like to please unlock the other categories since I play everyday at every chance I can get! She is learning how to spell words beyond what school will be teaching her this coming year. She picks these hard puzzles and works through them. I'm impressed. If it's only about speed it seems like finding all words in less than a minute and a half would be worth more than two or three stars. How would a person get all five stars? It doesn't say anywhere. It's an ok puzzle game but more needs to be explained so one can aim ### 4/5 — Entertaining *2020-09-05, version 1.5* As an avid word search fan, this game scores in so many ways. The larger font, bold word list and colorful background layout, make this game user friendly. I appreciate how the app highlights the letters in the word in a bright color as you “circle the found word”. It also displays the letters that you are circling at the top of the page in bold print. Lastly, grouping the different word list into categories allows you to pick and choose which wordlists you want search for. ### 4/5 — Review of this game *2018-02-27, version 1.4* I like this game because it Challenge me to think ahead of words to match the category that I choose. I also like the fact that when I find a word it’s in color and the next word a different color. Also once a word it’s highlighted so I’m not looking for the same word again. The only thing I don’t like too much is the timer. Sometimes it’s OK to see how fast you can solve the puzzle but on the other hand I want to enjoy doing the puzzle as well. I enjoy playing this game, it is very relaxing to me. ### 4/5 — Spelling *2018-02-19, version 1.4* There are categories where spelling needs to be checked, especially with the body & diseases. It makes things a bit frustrating. I know that a number of words use British English spelling, which is fine. What I’m talking about are words that are spelled the same way in all forms of English. (For example, it’s anus not anis.) Having said that, this is a fun and surprisingly challenging (spelling notwithstanding). ### 4/5 — Keeps your mind working *2016-09-06, version 1.3* Really like but I cannot seem to find the other games like Hangman, solitaire. Im playing word search and love it but frustrated too. For me, dont know about everyone else, but to get these in less than a minute to get all 5 stars is almost impossible, so I'm deducting one star only because of that. No way to finish a category. Also agree time needs to start when you find first word. But still really like the game. My only complaint is the puzzles aren't very elaborate. Too many letters aren't used, and sometimes the words sought don't intersect at all. My inly minor issues: I'm still trying to understand how the "Star" scoring works. It seems tricky to get all stars on any level. And there have been some unique word choices in some categories. Words don't always for the category. Like the Geography puzzle, which should have been Geology (granite, hectite, etc). ### 4/5 — Word Search *2016-05-25, version 1.3* I really like this game. It's addicting and hard to stop playing. I want to beat my time and finish quicker. The only complaint is that it's hard to highlight the words.
