First of all, there is a banner ad on the game screen that interferes with the game itself. The circle of letters now overlaps with the crossword which is extremely annoying because you can’t see the letter and you have to tap it just right to use it. Second, the ads between games are so annoying and long that once they pop up, I end up getting out of the game out of frustration, which means I don’t get the points I earned! These ads are 2-3x longer than anywhere else. This is an infuriating waste of time I’m now testing out similar games so I can just delete this one. You guys worked hard to create a good game and then you ruined it with ads. ### 3/5 — monthly fee *2025-02-10, version 3.0.7* Thought I had found a great game finally. Had an offer pop up to remove ads for 2.99. Lol, but it is a monthly fee! With the price of streaming tv apps and everything else, the last thing we need is yet another monthly fee. I buy ad free aps all the time, and would not think twice about paying $10 for this game. But not paying monthly. And oh my god there are SO MANY ads on this game making it impossible to just chill with it. So I’ll be moving on sadly:( Very bummed, I liked everything about it. I hung with it, playing almost every day for about a year. I am giving it a break for now. After reaching level 1512 (“Tranquility”) the puzzle started using fake words, i. e. , words that can’t be found in any dictionary , along with medieval words that haven’t been used since Chaucer’s time.
