Then it goes on an ad marathon. During the past few months, I have seen a substantial uptick in annoying ads! In the middle of games, a bar will pop out of the right side of the screen at random moments, and if you do not click it within four seconds, you are subject to ads of varying lengths. And as if that isn’t annoying enough, ads will pop up out of nowhere in the middle of a game without warning! The game has some nice and interesting features, but the ads have simply become too much. I am removing this game from my phone - there are too many other better choices in the App Store than to put up with something like this! ### 2/5 — Ridiculous amount of Ads *2026-08-14, version 1.482.2* I understand the need for ads since it is a free game but the amount is excessive. Ads would run when you completed a level, then they added audio ads that didn’t hinder play. Now it will load an add while you are playing a level. Usually it will load 2-3 ads back to back before you can resume play. That’s above and beyond hints, coins, etc… ### 2/5 — Same words *2026-08-12, version 1.482.2* I’m almost to level 2000 and they keep recycling the same group of words… to add to that, some prefixes are allowed, some aren’t - there are even different language or archaic words in here to trip you up. Got a new phone and had to start over. Did it anyway. A lot of the bigs words I find it says aren’t words and gives softballs. Seriously “cignet” is not a word?! This has happened so many times. Feels like the game is dumbed down. Challenge me. And pre fixes are not words. Pro, pre, per, come on man. Also FYI if I give 3 stars it refuses my online name but if I give 4 it takes the same name. Someone doesn’t want bad reviews. I downgrade from my 3 to a 2 for this. For example: elm is the first word and the second word is bum. Please fix this!
