### 3/5 — It’s a stellar app

*2024-10-01, version 5.3*

I really like it! I’m brain injured so it helps to practice my speaking skills!

Only thing with this application is MONEY. MONEY. MONEY 😡

### 2/5 — Not being updated

*2023-09-13, version 5.3*

You can’t edit this as much as some as the much cheaper apps. Some of the photos are simply NOT the photo I would choose for the word and you are unable to change it. Even something as simple as having your Clint list sorted by class or alphabetical is not an option. I’m getting tired of paying for this $56 dollars when nothing is changing.

### 2/5 — Can't cancel subscription

*2020-04-21, version 5.2*

When following their directions to cancel subscription I receive an error message. I disliked the app after the free trial and now I'm concerned I will be charged for an app I'm not planning to use.

### 5/5 — Therapy

*2020-04-06, version 5.2*

It really helps me

### 4/5 — World Vault Reviews

*2019-09-20, version 5.0*

Word Vault is awesome. I love the way you can focus on your own specific articulation needs! You can go a step further with sentences using the articulation words. That make improving speech even better!!

### 5/5 — :)

### 2/5 — Word Vault Pro and Word Vault Essential

*2019-03-30, version 4.6*

I only rated 2 stars because the app doesn’t seem to work properly for me on one iPad but works fine on the another one. I use the exact same account between the two devices, however, I’m only able to use Word Vault Essential on the newer device but Word Vault Pro on the older device. I have paid for the annual subscription and recently renewed it. I like the app on the older device where I’m able to access the Pro features.

### 3/5 — Different than pro?

*2019-01-25, version 4.4*

Please let me know how different this is versus Pro version

### 2/5 — Customer service????

*2019-01-02, version 4.4*

Pictures are fantastic...but, if you have a money or program problem, don’t expect to get a call or email back in a timely manner...

### 5/5 — Amazing therapy tool

*2018-10-26, version 4.3*

Amazing app with many speech language skills worked all in one app. I can’t wait to try with my individuals

### 4/5 — Love the app but missing some essentials

*2018-09-09, version 3.3*

I love this app. I'm a SLP and have been looking for an app where I can set up a group with both artic AND language goals. So this is a great solution. However, the improvements I would suggest include: adding pictures for every list, improving the phonology section to include every phonological process, and adding simple language targets like labeling and yes/no questions.

### 3/5 — Great app but needs work!

*2018-02-05, version 4.0*

This app is great for many things including articulation, language, phonology and pragmatics. I gave it 3 stars because I feel like for children some things in the app are too hard.

I do like the articulation part and that it has one word syllables, unlike Articulation Station sometimes has 2-word syllables. Maybe a feature can be used to have 1, 2 or even 3 syllable words for articulation, especially for more severe students.

When I do antonyms with my special needs students, I get frustrated that the pictures are not accurately representing the word (i.e. for open/close - they have someone closing a suitcase and for open, they have a hippo opening his mouth). I think that for an accurate and more clear understanding of the concepts being shown you should stick to one thing (opening/closing the suitcase) not two different pics that have no relation whatsoever.

I also use the minimal pairs and idioms.

Keep up the good work! It has a lot of potential.

### 5/5 — Not up to date

*2017-10-26, version 3.3*

A lot of the different areas in language are not complete and up to date. Many glitches and incomplete information. In able to hide the words associated with pictures so that you can drill the students on info. This app still needs a lot of work but it has good potential

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — ):

*2025-11-16, version 5.3*

This is not a good website

### 1/5 — Waste of money

*2024-12-14, version 5.3*

I purchased the $50 version of this app after the free trial. It does not have the capabilities it touts, has misspellings and incorrect grammar, and some pictures and stories of questionable appropriateness. After a couple of months of use, I could no longer access the app and was prompted to re-purchase what I already paid for. I tried contacting the company and got no response.

### 1/5 — Hard website to use

*2024-08-09, version 5.3*

Not user friendly if you want to print out a page for use by a student.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t do anything but show me a word

*2022-01-08, version 5.3*

❓I wanted to try word vault before buying pro. I watched the videos which all seemed to be for Pro. Word vault does not do anything but show me a word. I can just look at a word myself anywhere and practice saying it? Am I using incorrectly or is that all it actually does?

### 1/5 — So

*2021-08-26, version 5.3*

Bad!! Hate it

### 1/5 — Data erased

*2020-09-09, version 5.3*

Signed up for a free trial after a bad experience with data deletion a couple of years ago. Giving them one more chance because the content is so good. They charged me the monthly subscription rate immediately. I’ve actually never had that happen before with any other company. NEVER. Very bad business practice.

### 1/5 — Not accessible

*2018-05-29, version 4.1*

Wanted to do the 30 day trial. It worked one time, then every time I try to go in it recycles through the subscription information, says I have already subscribed, then it goes through the same thing again. What good is a trial if I can’t even get into the app?

### 1/5 — Don't Get It

*2016-03-02, version 2.3*

These word lists are poorly designed without phoneme acquisition in mind. This sets a client up for failure and provides unreliable data. Spend the same money and get Jumbo Artic from Super Duper.

### 1/5 — Waste of time

*2015-11-14, version 2.3*

Basically you can't hear, record, play any audio.
The strange is the fact the company's name is some speech home.

Basically what you get with this app, it's available in anothers app. All the functionalities that makes nice must be paid via in-app purchases or in the pro edition that is 50 times de price .

The experience is poor, and I request a refund.

### 1/5 — Hate

*2015-11-11, version 2.3*

I felt cheated and robbed

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great for adult clients too!

*2025-05-14, version 5.3*

I use this app for my adult accent modification clients and I love it! So easy to use for this purpose and I recommend they download it too for home practice, which they all do! The pro features are definitely worth the cost as well.
Cheers!

### 5/5 — Just started

*2024-05-27, version 5.3*

Okay, we just got this app yesterday, we’ve practiced with it twice, and already we are loving it! My child is 9 years old and he struggles with multiple sounds. This app seems so convenient though, and the variety of ways to practice the sounds is hugely helpful! I feel like we’ve just gone to our speech therapy session and we’re just sitting here in our PJ’s. It doesn’t totally replace a therapist though because I wouldn’t know how to help him fix his sounds if it wasn’t for the therapist, but I was debating increasing the number of weekly visits but instead I’m going to try this daily and keep our # of visits as they are and see how we progress. I’ll update this review as we progress. So far 5 out of 5 stars!!!!

### 5/5 — Life saver

*2022-02-03, version 5.3*

This app has been a lifesaver in mixed groups during sessions. But with remote learning days a must have!

### 5/5 — Helpful App

*2020-06-09, version 5.3*

This app is great for working with students online and sending homework.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2020-05-29, version 5.3*

I had a 30 day trial on Word Vault, what I really liked was the support that you get from Home Speech Home, they send lots of tutorials and ask for feedback. I also like the versatility of this app. It’s like a “One Stop Shop” you can work with a variety of clients and only use one app. Saves time and unnecessary stress and frustration.

### 5/5 — A speech pathologist’s best app

*2020-04-28, version 5.2*

I’m just lOVE Word Vault— with every penny,

### 5/5 — Learning

*2020-04-20, version 5.2*

Nice app for the kids
