I would gladly pay more if I could just have lay a game without Facebook and Google vacuuming up data about me / I paid the app fee to escape ads, and I have location services turned off and use a VPN for privacy - yet it all seems to be in vain This game was still able to pinpoint my location with no input from me Apple has made this very public pro-privacy stance as a marketing device - so Apple, how about rewarding developers who offer a no-tracking paid version by taking less of an App Store cut?? Still love the Word Worm though! The only problem I have is that I play it but then the music stops and he doesn’t say anything anymore. My volume is up so I can get phone calls and I don’t have any problems in my other games ### 5/5 — Best Game Ever *2023-06-14, version 1.3.61* Someone recommended Word Wow to me after I said I love Scrabble and other word games. It is perfect for me. I love the challenge of combining the tiles into clever words. Guiding the worm, collecting stars and gems, and sometimes playing with a timer are just the right amount of game to be a fun challenge. I’m grateful we can turn off the timer. The graphics are adorable and amusing. I love the worm’s exclamation points when I make a clever word or it gets trapped in a tight space and the little dance at the end. Even the tile explosion when the timer reaches the bottom is so well done it almost removes the disappointment of having failed the round. The only thing I’d change is being more generous with the bombs and tile switching potion. I feel like the app is trying to coerce me to buy them (which I won’t because I have no budget for video games) because in the first couple of countries I did have a large collection of them, but by the third my supplies dwindled and it has been hard to find them anymore. I’m still having fun though! Oh, and I love geography so the country theme is fun too! Update June 14, 2023: I love this game so much that I don’t mind at all starting all over with it when I upgrade my phone, as just happened (unlike other games I play like Wordscapes, which I was so glad it saves my progress in iCloud.) I even had around 80 each of potions and bombs because I rarely need them. All of my original review is still true and this is still my favorite phone game. It’s the best of all the Word Wow games too. I can add that I love that the advertising is very unobtrusive. ### 2/5 — Too many ads *2023-05-17, version 1.3.60* Of all the donkey soft games this is my least favorite to play but it’s the one most frequently updated with new levels, unfortunately. Too many ads. Full screen ads that take up the whole screen that last 30 seconds. Tap the X to close one after 30 seconds and it starts a new one. Apple, please follow up your public stance with genuine action! Also, it would be great if users could search for apps that do NOT harvest data - I'd certainly be more inclined to buy more games etc if they were vetted and verified pro-privacy **Developer response:** Hi there!
