I am always wanting to build my vocabulary--painlessly, of course--and love it when words listed also offer definitions. I don't understand why that is often not an option, only "save this word." Infinitely more inexplicable and annoying is the increasing tendency for a word to be defined just as a noun or an adjective, with no definition at all (WTH?!). This is different from the mysterious announcement that such-and-such is a valid, WWF word, but that there is no definition at this time. Drives me nuts *2026-02-27, version 7.8.9* Similar to what another user said - the ads appear too frequently and last for too long. You skip and it opens up the App Store. You have to then go back and skip again. Such a shame because otherwise it’s great. I would actually prefer to pay something small per month rather than these pesky ads that interrupt your flow (whilst in a game somewhere else! It’s too much!) so I’m on here looking for an alternative ! Also I don’t know why but whenever I open it, google gets involved telling me I don’t have any passwords saved. Not sure if that’s my phone settings or an app problem but I haven’t experienced it with any of my other apps :/ ### 2/5 — Out of sync! *2026-01-21, version 7.8.8* Used to be great but in recent weeks every day it’s in a different order than the Wordscapes game. Now I can’t find the one 4 letter word I need unless I open every 4 letter word! Whilst I know u can use the list function, if you’re only looking for one four letter word you have to look at all the four letter words to find one that might fit and that spoils the game. I haven’t been playing word games lately. Life has gotten too busy. Today I wanted to help a friend solve a puzzle so I pulled up word finder. The app has changed so much. It used to be easy to use. Much more complicated. So complicated I couldn’t figure it. I’m 48/49 years old and I love the fact I’m still learning and fixing problems I’ve had since childhood.
