## What is Wordi?

Meet Wordi — the pixel pal that grows on words

Wordi lives in your garden. Review words and it munches apples; care for it and
sprouts bloom into flowers; at 11pm it falls asleep. Skip a day or two? It'll be
waiting, hungry. Don't come to study — come to feed your pal. That IS studying.

■ Reviews are food
Every correct answer ripens an apple — 10 make one. Feed, water, wash, play and
tuck in: five ways to care, and sometimes Wordi asks first.

■ Alive on your home screen
The widget Wordi gets hungry and sleeps even when the app is closed. Check on it
from your lock screen — and drop in when it's hungry.

■ Memorize like Reels
Swipe up for "know it", down for "don't". No typing, no boredom.

■ Your day becomes your wordbook
Menus you snap, videos you watch, articles you read — Wordi gathers the English
you meet into words and personalized examples.

■ Conquer any scope
Just that video, just that article — repeat until you own every word.

■ Reviews timed right
Spaced repetition (SRS) picks exactly what to review, right before you forget.

Wordi never dies and never gets angry. Come back after days away and it will
greet you warmly. A few words a day is plenty — grow slowly, together.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.5 — 2026-08-01

Wordi got a pixel makeover!

• New widget — Wordi lives on your home screen: gets hungry, sleeps at night
• Apple harvest — every correct answer ripens an apple. 10 makes one!
• Garden, app icon and onboarding, all freshly pixelated
• When Wordi gets hungry, it'll call you with a notification

Coming to feed me today? — Wordi

### 2.4 — 2026-07-16

Memorizing got a lot smarter
• Meet a new word? Take a guess first — getting it wrong is fine, that's what makes it stick
• Miss a word and Wordi asks again right away, so you never move on confused
• New reverse questions: see the meaning, pick the word — proof you really know it both ways!

 Wordi remembers your mastered words
Even mastered words fade over time. After about four weeks, Wordi pops a comeback quiz — answer right and the memory locks in even stronger.

The level test now tells your true level
• First placement and level-up questions got properly challenging — a level you earn is a level you own
• The word bank more than doubled, so every test feels fresh
• A new card in your garden takes you straight to the level test

Also
• Long texts in photos no longer cut off — Wordi picks words all the way to the end
• Wordi now flaps its arms to say hi — and the sprout sways along!
• Small fixes and polish

### 2.3 — 2026-07-13

Now you really take care of Wordi
Wordi speaks up — asking for food when hungry, to play when bored, for a bath when grubby. Care for it right when it needs you and it lights up; try to feed a full Wordi and it shakes its head, "I'm okay for now!" When night falls, tuck it into bed.

 Wordi grows as you care
The better you care, the more Wordi visibly grows — from a tiny sprout to three leaves, a bud, and a full bloom. Your bond with Wordi becomes the way it looks.

A reason to drop by every day
• A daily progress ring on your garden home shows how close you are to today's goal
• Miss a day and your flame won't die — come back the next day and your streak revives
• Each evening Wordi gently reminds you to review (and stays quiet once you've hit today's goal)

Also
• Wilting words freshen up the moment you look at them again
• Small fixes and polish

### 2.2 — 2026-07-05

New: Conquer Mode
Pick exactly what you want to memorize — words from that YouTube video, an article, a photo, or today's daily words — and repeat until you know them all.

Just captured new words? Tap "Memorize Now" to review them while they're fresh.

Wordi feels more alive — sleeps at night, celebrates your return, and gets hungry over time.

Also fixed background music being interrupted when opening the app.

### 2.1 — 2026-06-17

We polished the memorizing experience.

· A new "Next" button makes flipping through cards easier.
· Smarter multiple choice — difficulty now scales by level, and confusing synonym answers are gone.
· Long words display cleanly, and dark mode is easier to read.
· Fixed small bugs (daily capture reset at midnight, garden navigation, and more).
