It’s a game I’d let my 8 & 10 yr old play. Also, why don’t we get a chance to find all the word combinations? That would be more challenging. It’s not hard enough to keep my attention. **Developer response:** The game does get challenging and most players enjoy the gradual ramp in difficulty and can play through the easy levels pretty quickly. I do understand some would prefer to jump ahead immediately, though, so I’m working on a new feature to allow you to choose a difficulty level right from the start. We’re discussing details of the feature on Discord now and I’d love to have your input! I also understand there’s an expectation that this kind of game is simply about enumerating all of the possible words that can be made with the letters on the wheel, but Wordjamacallit offers a new kind of challenge that is about coming up with the perfect word that satisfies the clues on multiple cards. So the challenge isn’t simply to complete the game, but to do it with the fewest number of words for the highest combo score. Try the coffee break game to see how you stack up against other players. Yes, everyone finishes the game eventually, but you’ll see that good players score much higher. Good players also climb the corporate ladder much faster with fewer games played. I hope that once you understand Wordjamacallit is a new kind of game about finding the perfect word rather than just any word, you’ll enjoy the additional challenge it offers. ### 5/5 — Amazing *2021-10-11* Better then all other spelling games ### 5/5 — Love it!! *2021-10-07* Great App tons of fun!! ### 5/5 — Better than the promoted ones *2021-10-07* There are some word making games that are heavily promoted with ads. This one is much better than those: more mechanics, nicer art, cuter character. The card mechanic theoretically encourages you to do more than just put down whatever words you get. Please give us a dark theme. Not everyone is able to stand such brightness. When adjustments are made I can revise my review. Regards ### 1/5 — Wrong hints *2021-10-04* The hints are wrong and the solution isn’t what the “hint” is saying, not even close. Buggy app, don’t download. If they reach out and let me know it’s fixed then I will update my review after checking. **Developer response:** Sorry to hear you found the game confusing. You can enter any word that matches the clue on a card to collect the card. You do not have to use the hint word. The hint word is just one of potentially many words that can be used with a card. And don’t forget you can tap on a card anytime for instructions on how to collect it! Enjoy! ### 1/5 — Bogus app that cheats *2021-10-04* It cheats, cheats so bad!!! It shows a “card” and to complete the card you need a 5 letter word that starts, for instance, with Y and ends with T. However, entering “YEAST” doesn’t do it. What solved it? “YEATS”, which does NOT end with a T! Cheater app, don’t waste your time. **Developer response:** Hi there! There is often more than one way to collect a card. For example, a bingo word will collect any card regardless of the clue. And a quote card can be collected by collecting adjacent cards with the same letters. Also, you can’t use the same word twice in the same game, so for example, if you already used YEAST you can’t use it again to collect a Y…T card. If you’ve already used a word, you’ll see the message “Already Used” at the top of the screen, and don’t forget you can always tap on a card for instructions on how to collect it. The cards system is both a source of hints (“There’s a word you can make that fits this card!”) and a challenge (“Can you think of a word that fits this card?”). Relaxing, cute, difficult. ### 5/5 — Really Helps With Anxiety *2022-01-12* I rarely ever leave reviews on games but I downloaded this one a few days ago on a whim and it’s been so great for my anxiety. It gives me something gentle/relaxing to focus on and I like that you can change the difficulty at any time. If the challenge is too much I can drop back down to normal for awhile. The animations are adorable, the concept is easy to pick up on and I like that you can watch ads for hints so it’s wallet friendly too. But I just love Wordjamacallit!! So fun!! Totally addictive. It’s challenging in a different way than other word games, and almost has the feel of playing a board game or card game with friends. It’s nice to be able to play just a level or two if you have a quick wait, or level after level if you have time to really get going. Love the cute graphics as well!
