It is amazingly useful, both with general definitions and usage and some country- or region-specific ones. It often has very good examples for context. The one thing I wish it had is etymological information, or at least links to sources for specific languages. But except for that, I find it superb! ### 4/5 — Great app! It is easy to use and has a wealth of translations, variants, synonyms, grammar markers and clear examples that are unrivalled by anything else I've seen (looking at you Google Translate). Many of the problems highlighted in other older reviews I've seen, are seemingly fixed (e.g., crashing and freezing or not being able to search whole phrases as you can on the website). Would recommend to anyone wanting to get clear and accurate vocab translations and a massive bonus is no cost, no adds and no hassle. 5 stars! ### 5/5 — A must have for professional interpreters *2025-09-11, version 5.0.83* I am a professional English to Spanish interpreter and this is my go-to reference when interpreting complex terminology and looking for the best way to translate a phrase given the subject’s country of origin. It shows different translations according to context. It is excellent in every respect, topping competition such as Google Translate with reliable and accurate translations. However, concerningly with important exams approaching, my need for reliable translations has heightened more than ever before. You may notice grammar, or perhaps translation errors within this review, purely due to the fact that this app has stopped working??? I don’t understand? I can’t translate anything? Synonyms, antonyms etc are for some strange and unknown reason consistently failing to generate. It’s been incredibly useful while living in Spanish speaking countries and quickly looking up a word you need. It’s come in super handy and it’s been a great tool for someone who already has a solid grasp of a language and needs to search a specific word or phrase every now and then. It gives you vocabulary which is helpful and works like a dictionary in that sense. And it also provides phrases and common sayings, as well as different variations of the same word by country or region. This has been great while living in Argentina as the app provides the correct usage versus other countries where they use a different word. Super recommend for expats or travelers. There’s a couple bugs would be nice to fix. After your recent update the app isn’t working for me, i can’t search words, nothing loads.
