We love talking through the potential solutions and narrowing down our options before we submit the tiles. I wish this game were available when we were prepping my kids for the SAT. The word association and ability to lookup up definitions easily would have been a great way to practice critical thinking skills while also reinforcing and sometimes introducing new words and definitions. I’ve also introduced the game to my parents. As seniors they like to play games that are easy to learn on their phones but also challenging cognitively. Words in Order has been a great way for them to stay sharp and have something more interesting than Facebook to interact with in waiting rooms at doctor’s offices. What’s great is that I play it to relax or to wind down a bit. It’s fun and I feel like it’s also exercising part of my brain that makes complex associations.
