## What is WordsMate?

WordsMate is a two-player word guessing game: one of you gives one-word hints, the other tries to find the secret word in as few clues as possible. Games are asynchronous—you play your turn when you have a moment, your friend plays theirs later. No need to be online at the same time.


THE IDEA
You and a partner take two roles: the hinter gives a single-word hint; the guesser tries to find the word. Goal: find the word in as few hints as possible. You then switch roles (by word or by game, depending on the mode). One word at a time, no spaces, no sentences—just one hint per turn.


ASYNC & FLEXIBLE
Each game is turn-based and asynchronous. When it’s your turn, you get a notification—open the app, give your hint or your guess, and close it. Your friend does the same when they’re free. No scheduling, no pressure to be online together. Perfect for quick rounds between tasks or longer sessions when you both have time.


THREE MODES
PingPong – You each give hints for 3 words then switch to guessing. First to 6 words found wins.
Bowling – 5 words with a limited hint budget. You decide how many hints to allocate per word before you start.
Darts – Chain as many words as you can with a shared number of hints. How long can you keep the streak?


JOKERS
Use credits to unlock jokers: first letter, extra hint, change the word, or extra guess. They add strategy without replacing the core challenge: fewer hints, smarter play.


FRIENDS & RANKINGS
Invite friends (contacts or WhatsApp), see who’s available, start a game in one tap. Climb the leaderboards and compare who finds words in the fewest hints.
