WordSum is a daily word puzzle that combines the best elements of Wordle, Jumble, math and logic. THE BASICS Every letter has a corresponding numerical value (A=1, B=2, ..., Z=26). Each day WordSum generates a new word and calculates that word's Target Sum by summing its letter values. The Target Sum of "CAT", for example, would be 24 (3+1+20) Your goal is to guess the word using the Target Sum as a guide. GAMEPLAY There are three Levels. In each Level you will see the Target Sum for that Level's word. You have 3 attempts in Level 3, 4 attempts in Level 4, and 5 attempts in Level 5. Upon entering a guess you will see which, if any, letters in your guess are also in the target word. A blue letter indicates your letter is somewhere in the word (though not necessarily in the correct position - WordSum will not indicate if a letter is in the correct position, only that it is in the word); a gray letter indicates your letter is not in the word. In the event the WordSum word has valid anagrams, any such anagram will also count as a win TIPS Don't worry about matching the Target Sum exactly in your early guesses. Use these to validate (or eliminate) certain letters. The lower the Target Sum, the more you'll need letters early in the alphabet (and vice versa). This can help you select the correct vowel(s) in Levels 3 and 4 especially.
