Wish Apple would let users downgrade to more useable version. ### 5/5 — My favorite dictionary app for over 15 years now *2026-04-16, version 6.3* Such a reliable, easy to use dictionary app. It’s intuitive in every way, gives you great suggestions when you misspell a word you’re searching for. Easily shows you pronunciations, synonyms, antonyms, specific regional words, spellings, and on top of that, it has a great list of historical names as well as places. My go to app. I love the random word function more stuff to make you stop and think and learn would give this app some flavor. And bump it up the list. Please give it a update But it needs a Antonyms list for words. And i would also add a A-Z word list that you could scroll. You could look through the entire in app list of words. I cant type any word to search for the meaning. ### 1/5 — Search bar is not working *2023-01-25* I love wordweb, have been using it since highschool (so 8 years) but when I downloaded it through the Apple store, the search bar does not work, i can't input my cursor in the search bar. When I try to type anything, I get the sound macbook gives when there is nowhere to input the letter that was clicked. I can do all actions through my mouse, but its not useful at all if I can't look up the word I wanted to look up. Both 'Lookup' and 'Search' function has the same problem. Almost 300k words and definitions for absolutely 0% and it’s easily browsable. I’m not advertising nor a bot but this is definitely the best free english dictionary app you’ll find in the app store. ### 5/5 — My recommended dictionary app *2026-06-27, version 8.2* I love so many features of this dictionary: offline access, usage examples, synonyms, and direct links to related words. Some definitions do use the searched word, but overall it works well for me. I haven’t used another dictionary app on my devices since I found this one a few years ago.
