You can read all the descriptions of profiles you want, you’re still the same person who’s probably looking for about the same type of work in the same region, so really changing the message every time is not necessary, especially since so often it won’t even be answered. Workaway setzt neue Maßstäbe was schlechte Apps angeht. Die Website ist schon grenzwertig, gerade wenn man bedenkt, wie teuer ein Abo ist. Hier wird gut in die eigene Tasche gesteckt ohne die Infrastruktur up to Date und performant zu halten. Die App ist für mich nicht benutzbar, da sie dauernd abstürzt, vor allem wenn man mal kurz in andere Apps wechselt und dann zurückgeht. On top of that, notifications often don’t come through, which makes it hard to respond quickly. This is really frustrating, especially considering the subscription costs over €70 a year. The idea behind Workaway is great, but the app itself feels outdated and unreliable. For as much money this company brings in, you would think they would at least spend some money making the app halfway decent. I paid 69€ ( couple account ) and no Host answered to my request even if they put the availability in the days I have asked for. When I asked for a refund they replied with a long message full of “suggestions” on how to properly use this application. I also talked them via other channels and I’m still waiting to get my money back. Our days were full of satisfying projects, delicious meals (hibiscus kombucha!) heartwarming talks and deep belly laughs.
