## What is Working Memory Lab?

Working memory is the ability to hold something in your head and use it a moment later.
Keeping a shopping list in mind. Taking notes while the teacher is still talking. Doing sums without paper.
It quietly sits underneath almost everything we get done in a day.

Working Memory Lab trains that ability with nine mini games.
One to two minutes a round, for kids and grown-ups alike.


NINE MINI GAMES

- Reverse Recall — colours appear one by one; tap them back in reverse. Rearranging in your head.
- Match Back — tap when a picture matches the one a few steps back. Taking in the new while letting go of the old (an n-back task).
- Cup Shuffle — follow the swapping cups and find the ball.
- Dual Task — solve a sum, then memorise a picture, over and over. The real thing: holding on while busy.
- Copy the Order — tap the animals in the order they appeared.
- Take the Order — remember what each table ordered. Some come alone, some as a family.
- Number Flash — numbers flash by; add them all up in your head.
- Math Relay — "plus 3", "times 2" — keep the running total going.
- Grid Memory — remember which squares lit up, wait while the board goes dark, then tap them.
