### 1/5 — Tracking

*2025-01-13, version 2.2.62*

I don’t work 24 hours a day, why should I allow 24 hours tracking

### 1/5 — Worst time keeping app

*2025-01-13*

I have used several time keeping apps and this one is horrible and my company has only had it in place for a week. It’s not user friendly, there’s no overview of your time for the week so you can see your total hours- you have to look day by day, you can’t edit your time- you have to delete and do over… I could keep going but if you’re considering using this app for time keeping- DON’T, unless you enjoy frustrating your employees over their time keeping.

### 1/5 — Horrible UI

*2024-11-14, version 2.2.62*

We are using this as a test group at work, and this the most unintuitive interface I have ever used.is a good concept but the execution of the app is horrible. I hope we don’t start using this app needs completely overhauled

### 1/5 — Horrible app

*2024-04-11*

If I could give zero stars, I would. My company has been using this program for about a year now, and it has been a horrible experience from day one. Everything you do is so SLOW. Tap a button, and its 5-10 seconds before it responds. Trying to search for a job, I have to type the job number in, set my phone down and do something else for 10 minutes. By then, MAYBE it will have found it and I can clock in.

Now, after the most recent update, I cant clock in at all. I click the button, it blinks like it knows someone clicked it, but the next screen never loads. Haven’t been able to use it for a week or more.

### 1/5 — Big problem

*2024-04-03*

The update has broken the ability to clock in or out. Pressing either choice now on WorkMax 2.2.40 on out time clock iPad app no longer launches the next screen. Please hurry out an urgent bugfix and notify users ASAP. Software is currently unusable.

### 1/5 — If you can avoid using Workmax as a whole, do

*2024-03-20*

Every experience I’ve had with this time clock app over the last 2 years has been horrible. It feels like a beta release of an app that will never come out, I would be ashamed of being a programmer that worked for them. It never loads correctly on the desktop site, the app has other issues as you can see from all the other reviews. For a program in 2024 that’s as simple as a time clock, it’s inexcusable.

### 1/5 — Terrible UI

*2022-07-27, version 2.1.5*

Ease of use is sub par, too expensive, clunky. There is far better out there

### 1/5 — If it’s not broke don’t fix it

*2022-04-05*

WorkMax2 interface is horrible compared to WorkMax the original, no idea why you switched platforms. Biggest gripe is you can’t enter click in/outs consecutively. You have to wait a minute in between inputs. This wasn’t an issue with the original WorkMax.

**Developer response:** 406Sparky,

We appreciate the feedback you've provided and we'd love to help you understand why we've made the switch to a new mobile app as there are many reasons. Please contact support@workmax.com for a more in depth explanation for all of our changes. The reason why you are prevented from clocking in and out consecutively is that everything in WorkMax is by the minute and hours, not seconds. Being able to clock in and out consecutively on the old app was an oversight that was corrected in this new mobile app. Our web time clock, for example, has never allowed employees to clock in and out consecutively for the same reason that WorkMax is based on hours and minutes.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2026-07-23*

Tracks time for one day and then it forgets every log from the previous days the following day. I’m having to keep a paper log of my hours. This is ridiculous. Having to screenshot every single record to show proof incase my employers requests it.

### 1/5 — Delete and reinstall every time I us it!

*2026-06-06*

I have to delete and reinstall every time that I turn in time sheets because the app will not sync manually or automatically. Takes more time than if I just emailed my time into the office.

### 1/5 — Won’t load

*2026-04-10*

Cost me money every week because it takes 10 minutes to clock in.

### 1/5 — glitchy

*2026-02-17*

I seem to lose time in the beginning of the day because the app always fails first thing usually at least twice a week. the worst app our company has used so far

### 1/5 — Sucks

*2026-02-10, version 2.3.18*

Not worth the time

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2026-01-23*

I can’t believe a multi million dollar company chooses to use this app to track our time and jobs.

### 1/5 — SLOW

*2026-01-21*

What is the app even loading when clocking in and out? Takes 2-4 minutes to do anything. Really ends up screwing up my pay and my companies payroll.

### 1/5 — Use anything else

*2025-11-19*

Constantly freezes, says can’t find employees who are in the system. Fails to load pages in the field. Can’t organize anything into folders. Can’t store emails have to type in full name every time.

### 1/5 — Not Good

*2025-11-17*

This app is terrible. The most boring and basic interface ever and yet somehow the app still manages to crash, not log time, not sync, etc.
not sure why my company waste their money with this app.

### 1/5 — No good

*2025-10-22*

This app is driving crazy it doesn’t let me in sometimes, other times it doesn’t record my clock ins , other times it’s just buffers like today, luckily I was able to clock in with my buddy phone, this app crashes to much

## Most praised reviews (8 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — No me puedo conectar

*2026-06-04, version 2.4.2*

Tengo problemas como los resuelvo

### 5/5 — Great work management.

*2025-02-05*

App works perfectly, sync forms and not stack if you have photos on the forms, it’ll make the app slower and sometimes kick you off the app losing everything, I’d recommend being patient and saving every form step by step so it can save even after it crashes, didn’t take me long to be able to manipulate it nicely.

### 5/5 — Many benefits!

*2022-01-26*

I use this everyday to clock in and out of work. Super helpful and love the mobility on my phone. Also the data syncs fast and the interface is simple and user friendly. I’d highly recommend!

**Developer response:** Thanks for the positive review and we're glad that you're enjoying the app!

### 5/5 — Awesome App

*2021-11-04, version 2.0.1*

Loved using this app 😄

### 4/5 — Decent improvements

*2021-11-17*

Thanks for the following: 1. Removing that terrible splash screen 2. Not deleting the entire log in number when hitting the backspace key 3. THANK YOU FOR REMOVING THE SMALL AND TUCKED BUTTONS IN CORNERS Please put back the following items: 1. Either add back the month view for timesheet review or add an arrow to go back and forth days on the menu. No one likes to hit a drop down and then select a day if they don’t have to. (EDIT: I found that you can select multiple days on the time sheet and then just click once to expand the times!) Please add the following items: 1. Let me remain signed in to the app on my device, or add fingerprint or Face ID recognition for the default employee ID. What does Remember Selected Employee do in the setting menu? 2. Is there a way for the company to remove all our personal information from the entire company directory? I don’t need people showing up at my house that I don’t know. Especially when they know I’m at work and not at home. 3. Another feature that I’d love to see added is some kind of GPS recognition. If I leave a certain radius of a job site and I haven’t logged in or out it would be awesome to get a notification. Thanks for the vast improvements!

**Developer response:** bparker02, Thank you for taking the time to think about and write this generous review!

#1 regarding staying signed in...we'll put some thought into this as we continue to move forward. We're always looking for ways to speed up an employee's day and reduce steps.

#2 There is a user role for others to see or not see other employees information. Please check with your WorkMax system admin to see if some adjustments can be made here. If they need additional help, please have them contact support@workmax.com

#3 We are planning on adding notifications in the future and entering/leaving job site notifications is on our radar. Thanks for the reminder!

Thanks again for your review and helpful feedback!

### 2/5 — App crashes

*2025-05-13*

The app crashes when I’m clocking my crew in or out Would like to leave a great review but this is very aggravating at the beginning and end of day. It usually takes 5-6 times before I can clock my guys in or out.

### 2/5 — Lag

*2025-04-26*

Although I love everything the app offers it lags bad. After the last update when clicking on names it takes 20 or more seconds to actually accept. If I had 2 or 3 guys it wouldn’t matter but I do time for over 10 guys and up to 30 and multiple task codes imagine how long that’s taking. If this gets fixed definitely 5 stars

### 2/5 — Crash

*2025-03-12*

Crashes constantly. Like after every clock in or out. Has been happening for weeks.
