### 3/5 — Impossible to use

*2026-07-09*

Age is fixed at 20 years and the app keeps disconnecting thus making it unable to do what was designed for.

### 4/5 — Great for live HR monitoring.

*2025-12-12*

Great app for monitoring heart rate live on full screen. Works well with Apple Watch. Need to sort out saving the heart rate zones to make it complete.

### 4/5 — Almost perfect

*2025-10-26*

The only thing missing is the detailed heart rate zones and the time spent in each of them, they aren’t recorded in the native exercise app after the workout.

### 3/5 — Sometimes works

*2025-07-31*

Sometimes it connects to Apple Watch, sometimes it doesn’t. The troubleshooting link is 404.

### 4/5 — Great app. Needs one feature.

*2025-03-03*

this is a great app. I hope you add one feature, which is the ability to set timers for HIIT workouts. For example, it would be great to create a workout with 5 min of warm up in Zone 1, then 10x 30 second Zone 3 intervals with 30 seconds of rest, then 8x 1 min Zone 2 intervals with 30 seconds of rest, then 5 min cool down in Zone 1. Each of these would be a countdown timer so a user could create their custom HIIT workout and just follow along. They would know automatically what to do for how long and how much is remaining in the workout. Thanks.

### 4/5 — Great App, exactly what I needed.

*2025-02-28*

Absolutely great. I just wish that you could add active calories not just total calories.

### 1/5 — Garbage, doesnt track km well. No upload to Strava

*2024-05-30*

Garbage, doesnt track km well. No upload to Strava

### 3/5 — Buggy.

*2024-05-28*

But doesn’t save changes made to custom heart rate zones. Often loses connection with watch.

### 1/5 — CAN’T use any other apps with this

*2024-05-11*

I am still looking for what I missed in the description, but a major disclosure is missing to me. You don’t only have to start the Apple Watch app as well as the phone app (is disclosed), it must be in the forefront. This means it does not fit my use case. I wanted to use my normal workout app while on the treadmill and use this to show my heart rate from my watch on my phone propped up on the machine.

Can’t do this with this app. Probably works for someone who wants to use this as a primary workout app but it lacks MOST features of a typical
primary workout app.

I have politely asked for a refund since I deleted the app with 30 minutes of purchase.

Hope this review helps others.

### 1/5 — Not working……

*2024-03-30, version 1.17*

Don’t buy it. Waste of money.

### 1/5 — Ne marche pas

*2024-03-22*

Impossible d’utiliser!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Bad Experience

*2025-12-11*

Apple should not allow anyone to sell app without trial period. This app does not deliver what it promised. Useless.

### 1/5 — Stupid app

*2025-12-04*

Stupid stupid app
Waste of money

### 1/5 — Does not want to reset bpm

*2025-11-23, version 1.22*

Can’t get it to start a new session. It keeps starting from reading that does not coincide with what is in the watch.

### 1/5 — Worked once

*2025-09-22*

Can’t get it to work again and the troubleshooting takes me to a page no longer available. Super disappointed

**Developer response:** The troubleshooting page experienced an issue that caused it to go offline for a short period. I have already resolved the problem, so please try accessing it again.

### 1/5 — Poor connection, does not stop

*2025-09-05, version 1.21*

Poor connection to Apple Watch. Does not stop with workout stops on Apple Watch. HUAWEI health is way more advanced.

### 1/5 — quit working after 2 weeks

*2025-08-30, version 1.21*

Used the app for 2 weeks before it stopped connecting to my workouts

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work with other workout apps

*2025-01-03*

It doesn’t mention this anywhere in the description, but, as other reviews have said, it forces you to use this app only for workouts, and it must be in the forefront of your watch and phone, and you can’t use it along with any normal workout apps. I just wanted something that read my heart rate while I was using normal workout apps, but this isn’t it.

### 1/5 — Ripoff

*2024-08-21*

Have to use its workouts so worthless. Connected phone and watch and app keeps dropping connection. Tried troubleshooting link in dev response and I guess they no longer support this because the site is only about a camera app

**Developer response:** Hi, this app is still under active development. Please visit this page to resolve your issue: https://www.anh-app.com/workout-live/troubleshooting

### 1/5 — Unresponsive

*2024-08-17, version 1.19*

No response from developer contact link for two questions

### 1/5 — This is a stand alone app

*2024-06-03*

This is just another workout app. You aren’t using the Apple Watch app when using this, so you can’t track your workouts in fitness.

**Developer response:** This app has a companion watchOS app. Please visit this page to resolve your issue:

### 5/5 — Just what I was looking for

*2026-01-01*

I spent a couple of weeks on and off looking for an app that would save me continuously checking my watch when trying to use my cross trainer. Silly as it sounds I’m using it for cardio so heart rate is important and constantly taking my hand off the machine to flick my wrist and wait for the heart rate to display was annoying. I looked in loads of places for a heart rate monitor that could be displayed permanently during my exercise period. Long story short this is a gem on a find. Syncs seamlessly with my Apple Watch, displays the heart rate and where I am on the cardio scale, which is set for my age group. Stays open while I’m using it so the checks are instant, even has a guess at the calories burnt ( needs to tweak that up a bit ;) All round exactly what I needed and I paid £1.99, I had been considering £100 for a decent chest strap and App.

### 5/5 — THE UNSUNG BEAUTY!!

*2025-11-10*

Read the description. Carefully. Read again.
You will get EXACTLY what is shown there.

Exceptional integration with the iOS 26.1 in both the Apple Watch Ultra3 and the phone.
Epitome of simplicity! The watch and the phone communicate seamlessly!

If something doesn’t work in your hands-please contact the developers! The App Support responds immediately!

To the developers:
Outstanding Work! Bravo!

I only wish there was a complication for the Modular face. Asked the developer about - they never got back to me.

Nevertheless, it’s a Five-Star app all right!

### 5/5 — Synchronize is perfectly with watch but needs a lock screen view

*2025-09-15*

Tata this a bunch and I love that I don’t have to look at my watch all the time. However, when I’m on my bike running or rowing my phone locks and I can’t see what my heart rate is. A feature that shows the display when your phone locks would be excellent

### 5/5 — Does the job

*2025-09-03*

This app is totally worth it. Nothing fancy just your heart rate

### 5/5 — NO SUBSCRIPTION, YEAH !

*2025-01-11*

Some reviews say it doesn’t show distance, but all I care about seeing with my Apple Watch connected is: the time elapsed, the heart rate updated every 5 seconds, and the heart rate zones. It does all this without a greedy subscription!

### 5/5 — Works as expected and is great!

*2024-05-25, version 1.19*

Shows your watch workout info live on your phone screen which is very helpful when on cardio machines. Love that heart rate zones are color coded so I can quickly glance and tell what zone I’m in. App is robust where you can minimize it on the watch or phone and it continues to run. I minimized it watched a YouTube video, pulled it back up and it was still running. After your workout it writes the workout data into the stock Apple fitness app. It doesn’t seem to have the ability to write how long you are in each heart rate zone like the stock fitness app does. Other than that this is huge and it’s embarrassing that Apple’s own app can only do screen mirroring when you are cycling. To the app developer - way to provide more functionality than a multi-billion dollar company!

### 5/5 — Great App

*2024-04-04*

This app clearly displays the live heart rate from my Apple Watch and the routines integrate into my Apple Health App. When I bought my Apple watch I was very dissapointed that the iPhone did not have this capability already. Seems like an obvious capability to have.
I use this every day at the gym.

### 5/5 — Perfect… almost

*2024-02-26*

Does everything I truly need/want it to do. Some additions I would like in the future;

Have the ability to see the elapsed time I am in each heart rate zone. Why; During my bike/walks, they are normally in zone two but take me a bit to get my heart rate up for the workout. It would be nice to get the exact time in the zone.

Heart rate alerts when dropped below or going above a certain range.

Otherwise, thank you for the simplicity!

### 5/5 — Simple & LARGE workout metrics!

*2023-12-01*

Just what I needed for my rowing workouts.
