## What is Workout Tracker?

Plan your workouts. Log your sets. See the work you completed.

Mesolab brings hypertrophy planning and workout logging together in a native iPhone app.

BUILD YOUR BLOCK
Tap Build it for me: pick your split and training days, choose Size, Strength or Both, and name up to three muscles to bring up. Mesolab plans the block from the equipment in your gym and shows it before you start, with weekly sets for each muscle against the muscle-building range and the reason each exercise is there. Swap any exercise in a tap, or start from a saved block or build your own. Progression and a deload are built in.

KNOW THE TARGET
Programmed workouts show prescribed rep ranges and target RIR (reps in reserve), alongside suggested weight when your history or starting calibration supports it. Or tap Just train today: pick Upper, Lower, Full body or your own lifts, and log the weight, reps and RIR you complete.

KEEP TRAINING
Log weight, reps and RIR. Add or swap exercises, reorder your session and minimize it without losing your place. Correct a logged set when you make a mistake. If you finish too early, reopen the same workout and continue.

UNDERSTAND YOUR VOLUME
Progress shows the sets each muscle got over the last four weeks against its muscle-building range. Week preview compares planned and completed weekly sets by muscle, with direct, indirect and effective volume against MEV, MAV and MRV reference landmarks. These are training references, not measurements of your personal recovery limit.

LEARN FROM YOUR SESSIONS
Record optional joint pain, pump and workload feedback. See your estimated one-rep max climb on Progress, and review progression and feedback-based recommendations in Insights.

SHARE THE WORK
Create a Workout Map receipt showing the muscles you trained, completed working sets and workout duration. Edit the title displayed on the card, choose the metrics to include, and save it to Photos or share it.

WORKS WITH APPLE HEALTH
With your permission, Mesolab saves each completed strength-training workout (start time, end time and duration) to Apple Health, so it appears alongside the rest of your activity. Connect from the Today screen or Profile, or when you finish a workout. Mesolab never reads your Health data, and training works the same whether or not you connect.

YOUR HISTORY, TOGETHER
Review past sessions and set details.

Try one completed workout free, with no automatic paid conversion. Weekly, monthly and yearly subscriptions provide the same continued workout access. View plans and restore purchases from Profile. Existing workout history stays available after your free workout.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.3 — 2026-10-17

A new look, a faster way to build your training block, and one more lift whenever you want it.

- A new look: darker screens with one clear next step on each. Today leads with your workout and what to beat, and the live workout matches.
- Build a block in four steps: pick your split and days, choose Size, Strength or Both, pick up to three muscles to bring up, then see the whole block before you start.
- See why it's built that way: weekly sets for each muscle against the muscle-building range, and the reason each exercise is there. Tap an exercise for two ready swaps.
- New splits: Arnold and body part.
- Progress is one page: your estimated 1RM across the block, a body map of what you trained, how often you showed up, and your new bests.
- Plan shows your block's weeks building toward the deload, with every option it had before.
- Add an exercise mid-workout in two taps. It goes up next, with Undo.
- Rest shows the set picked for you front and centre.
- Lift Forecast: see where a lift could be in 6, 12 or 24 weeks, starting from your own best set. Share it to your Story, or start the block that gets you there.
- Set your own rest time in Profile, from 30 seconds to 5 minutes. It's the same setting as on the web.
- Tell Mesolab which weights your gym has, and suggestions stick to them. No 35s? It goes from 30 straight to 40.
- Just train today suggests a starting weight for lifts you've done before, and says why.
- Before your first workout, Today offers a reminder for the day you plan to go.
- Plan starts later this week? Start Day 1 today, right from Today.
- Log set stays above the keyboard while you type, so your first set is one tap away.
- Dumbbell weights read per dumbbell, so you know what to pick up.
- New to Mesolab? The app opens on Create Account, with Sign in one tap away.
- Fixes and polish: Today refreshes when you come back to the app.

### 1.2 — 2026-10-07

Train today, with or without a plan, and start a new plan the day you set it up.

- Just train today: pick Upper, Lower or Full body and go straight to your first set, or choose your own lifts. Switch between Build muscle and Strength before your first set.
- Already have a plan? Train something else today without changing it. When you finish, choose whether that session counts toward your plan.
- New plans can start today. Week one fits around the days you have left, and Today says when your first session is.
- Choose your split up front. Mesolab recommends one for the days you train, and every option is explained in plain words.
- Add a lift that isn't in the library in a few taps. Mesolab fills in the details it can guess from the name.
- Pull-ups, chin-ups and dips log at bodyweight ("BW × 12"), with added weight when you use it.
- Share your Workout Map with a link to Mesolab, or copy the link.
- Run It Back starts from the last week you actually trained.
- Fixes and polish: clearer confirmations, sign out asks first, and a clearer screen once your free workout is done.

### 1.1 — 2026-09-30

A new set screen, next sets picked for you, and a plan you can change as you go.

- Each set shows one clear target: weight × reps at your target RIR, with Use to fill it in. Bubbles show where you are in the exercise and in the workout.
- Rep to beat shows what beats last time. Beat it and you get a quick "Nice."; set a new best and you see it as it happens.
- Rest opens full screen after each set, with your next set picked for you, the exact plate change and this exercise's history. Minimize it to keep going.
- Suggestions use weights your gym actually has. Set your steps in Profile → Your gym.
- New plans only use exercises for the equipment you have. Set it in Profile → Available Equipment.
- After each exercise, rate pump and joint pain in a tap. Pump never adds sets. If something hurt, Mesolab asks before that day comes round again: keep it, check your setup, swap it or skip it today.
- Plan shows today's workout and an interactive week calendar. Drag workouts to move or swap days, with a preview and Undo. View & modify lets you change, reorder, add or remove exercises, with a clear choice of this workout or upcoming workouts.
- A new workout finish shows what you did and what changes next time.
- Haptics mark sets, bests and the end of rest. Turn them off in Profile.
- New here? Setup is three quick answers that shape a real plan you can see before you start.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-09-25

Your completed training now stays put when your plan changes.

- Removing a training day from your plan keeps every workout you already completed on it, with its sets and history. Only future sessions for that day are removed.
- Delete a saved plan draft you no longer want, from Today, Plan or the planner. Resume now opens a saved draft at its review, where you left off.
- After you've logged several workouts, Mesolab may occasionally ask for an App Store rating on the workout summary. It never interrupts a workout, and you can dismiss it.
- Progress no longer goes blank when you scroll back up through your workout history, and Plan keeps your place when you switch tabs.
