## What is WorkSet Fitness Tracker?

WorkSet Premium is an AI coach built on your own training and food log. It reads back every session the moment you finish, briefs you before the next one, answers any question about your history, and turns a physique photo into set targets. Snap a meal, a label or a machine and it does the rest.

Under it, a serious lifting tracker (free, forever) AND nutrition app in one, and the two halves talk to each other. Plus phone GPS for cardio, and encrypted web reports of 7–90 days for your coach.

▶ Short video tutorials: district79.info/workset/tutorials

AI COACH — with WorkSet Premium (30-day free trial)
• "How did I do?" — every finished session read back: what moved, how it compared to last time, how your sleep lined up
• "Brief me" — today's workout explained before you start, lift by lift, against your numbers
• Ask Your Data: "When do I lift best?" "Is my bench stalling?" — answered from your log
• Physique Assessment — up to 4 photos, development/proportion by region into set targets ("hamstrings: 7/week, try 12") applied in one tap. Compare two photos
• Log food from a photo of the plate, a label, a menu or your fridge, or just say or type it
• Don't know a machine? Snap it — AI names it and shows the setup
• Form Check (uses credits): film a set for a 0–100 score, ranked issues, fixes and correctives
• A weekly coach note, stalled-lift plateau check, smart machine swaps, AI-built workouts and programs

WHY ONE APP BEATS TWO
• One goal — cut, maintain, build — shapes both halves: your calorie budget AND how hard your training pushes
• Your calorie goal knows your training calendar: training days get more, rest days are never docked
• Weekly muscle volume against science-based landmarks
• A protein floor that never collapses in a deficit, scaled to your body and goal
• The Weekly Report shows what no two-app stack can: what you eat on training days vs. rest days
• We show our math and our sources: every formula is published at district79.info/workset/math, and the study behind each number is one tap away

LIFT — free, forever
• Log sets, reps, and weight fast, with plate math and a warm-up ramp under every exercise
• Finish a set clean and WorkSet suggests your next load, snapped to plates you own
• Track a run, walk, ride or hike with your phone — live route map, pace, climb — saved to Apple Health. No Watch needed.
• Live workout mode: talking rest timer, Apple Watch companion, Live Activity with one-tap sets
• Follow a friend: one code and their workouts land in your app, kept in step
• Progress charts per exercise — working weight, volume, estimated 1RM, PRs, a PR Timeline and a Training Year grid — plus RIR, rest times and a deload advisor
• A streak that doesn't punish rest, and a 1,000+ exercise library with video

EAT — with WorkSet Premium
• Every AI way to log above, plus barcode or 66,000+ foods to search
• A live calorie gauge on a budget that adapts to your real weight trend and daily activity — tap "How it's calculated" for every number
• Plateau on a cut? WorkSet says why and suggests a diet break when the evidence supports it
• Recipes with per-ingredient nutrition, grocery lists and meal plans; import from other tracking apps; Health both ways

AI features run on Anthropic's Claude via our own server, only after you agree on a consent screen that says what each one sends; switch it off any time in Settings. Every AI feature is included with Premium up to fair-use caps; past them it runs on credits (included monthly, or buy packs). Form Check always uses credits, spent only on a real result. No ads, no account — data stays on-device and in your iCloud.

WorkSet Premium is an auto-renewing subscription with a 30-day free trial; price and length are shown before you subscribe. Payment is charged to your Apple Account; auto-renews unless cancelled 24h before the period ends.

### 5/5 — Tons of feature

*2026-09-22*

This app has way more usable features than any other workout / food app I’ve found so far. Video tutorials for each exercise, can make you a tailored workout based on your body comp and goals. Food logging, recipes, automatic grocery list for recipes you want to make, meal photo logging. You can share your workouts which has been great for my husband and I. Totally worth the yearly price to use all these premium features instead of having multiple apps.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for this review! You've described exactly what we set out to build. We love hearing that sharing workouts has been great for you and your husband. Training alongside someone you love is the best motivation there is. Thank you for supporting WorkSet with your yearly subscription. If there's ever a feature you'd like to see, reach out from Support in the app. We read every message. Thanks again!

### 5/5 — Replaced three apps and a coach

*2026-09-17*

I lift five days a week and I've been through Strong, Hevy, MacroFactor and a scanner app. WorkSet is all of them in one, and the two halves actually talk to each other. My calorie goal moves with my real weigh-ins and what I log, and every number has a "How it's calculated" screen behind it. They even publish the formulas on their site. I've never seen an app show its work like that.

Food is where it clicked for me. Point the camera at a plate, a label or a menu and it comes back with a real entry, or say it out loud, or scan the barcode. Training days get more calories, rest days aren't punished, and the protein target doesn't collapse when I'm cutting. The weekly report shows what I eat on training days versus rest days, which no two-app setup ever showed me.

The AI is the part that shocked me. I sent a physique photo and got back "hamstrings: 7 sets a week, try 12", built from my own log, and one tap applied it across my scheduled workouts with undo. After every session "How did I do?" reads the workout back and lines it up with last night's sleep. "Brief me" preps me before I start. And every answer has a Sources link showing where the numbers come from. When a scan failed once it said "You weren't charged", and I wasn't.

Lifting side is complete too: plate math, warm-up ramps, a muscle-volume chart with science landmarks, and I hiked with just my phone and it tracked the route into Apple Health with no Watch.

Spanish is fully translated, my data stays in my iCloud, no account, no ads. Premium includes 5 AI credits a month and packs are cheap when I want more. One subscription instead of three.

**Developer response:** Really appreciate you taking the time to leave such a detailed review. It’s awesome to hear that the training, nutrition, and AI features are all coming together in a way that actually feels useful instead of like a bunch of separate tools.

I’m also glad you noticed the transparency around calculations, sources, scans, and how the app adjusts around your actual training and nutrition data. A lot of work went into making those details feel trustworthy and practical.

Thanks again for the support! Reviews like this genuinely mean a lot.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.4 — 2026-10-19

• Skip setup: don't want the questions? Tap Skip setup at the top of any setup screen and go straight to your workouts. Your details can wait. The Food tab asks for them when you want your own calorie goal.
• First steps on Home has a new row to add your body weight, so workout calories are estimated from you when no Apple Watch is recording, and a clearer Hide button to close the card for good.
• Adding or deleting a set during a workout is now easy to see: an added set lights up green, a deleted one flashes red and shrinks away, and the set count updates. A new Delete Set button sits next to Add Set.
• Each exercise now remembers its own reps, the way it already remembers its weight. When you schedule or start a workout, every exercise starts at the rep target you planned for it last time, and so does an exercise you add mid-workout.

### 2.3.4 — 2026-10-11

• Exercise names in your language: in Spanish, Portuguese, French and Italian, exercise names now show in that language everywhere — your workouts, records, charts, the library, the Apple Watch and your Lock Screen — and search finds an exercise by its English or its translated name.
• Weekly Review, inside your coach's note: from Sunday evening, your week is ready to review — training, food and recovery together, with the numbers behind each finding — and the load and calorie changes for next week. Apply asks once, then makes the changes; Undo takes them back. Included once a week with Premium, then 3 credits.
• Your coach remembers: things you tell it — a sore shoulder, when you train, what you hate — carry into every question, briefing, recap and review. See and edit the list under Settings → AI → What your coach remembers.
• Research mode in Ask Your Data cites real papers: turn it on and the answer links the pages it read, with the quoted sentence. +2 credits per question.
• Live autoregulation, always your call: a poor night offers an easy day (one more rep in reserve on every target), a rest that ends with your heart rate still high offers 30 more seconds (Apple Watch), and three hard sets in a row offer to skip the rest of that lift. Each one asks first, and each has its own switch under Settings → Progression.
• Today, inside your coach's note: turn it on once and it opens with one to three lines about today, worked out from your whole training history — a record within reach, today's load against last time, a lift gone flat. Included with Premium, once a day.
• Spanish, Portuguese, French and Italian, finished: the leftover English in food, recipes, meal plans, vitamins, progress and workouts is translated, and the permission prompts and the widgets now follow your language too.
• Home: the First steps card now has a Hide button, for when you already train and don't need it.

### 2.3.3 — 2026-09-28

• Workouts feel faster: the live workout screen now does far less work every second, so taps respond sooner and it is easier on your battery.
• Weights now show in the unit you chose (kg or lb) across the app, including Home, Lift Charts and Day Analysis.
• Meal reminders now work properly: they arrive a little after your usual meal time, cover the rest of today, and skip any meal you have already logged.
• No connection at the gym? Text and voice food logs and the workout debrief no longer use up your daily allowance when they fail, and a note you type offline is kept.
• Food search without a connection now shows foods you have logged before, with a Try Again button.
• New in Settings → Appearance: Keep Start Workout on Home. Turn it on and the Start Workout card stays on screen instead of folding away as you scroll.
• New in Settings → Data: Share anonymous usage counts. It carries no identifier; turn it off and nothing is counted.
• WorkSet is now always dark.
• Deleting a weigh-in in WorkSet now removes it from Apple Health too.
• If your iCloud storage is full, Home and Settings now tell you, so you know new entries are not being backed up.
• The AI coach now answers in French, Italian and Portuguese, as well as English and Spanish.
• Many screens, messages, food descriptions and Siri answers that still showed English are now translated, including the subscription terms in Spanish, and numbers use your region's decimal separator.
• Restore Purchases now tells you what happened: restored, nothing to restore, or the App Store could not be reached.
• You now see both subscription plans, the trial end date matches your plan's real length, and prices appear in your own currency. Already subscribed? You'll see Manage Subscription.
• Restoring a backup with Replace everything no longer deletes your progress photos, Form Check videos or meal-scan photos, and it now brings back My Notes, DNF reasons and template folders.
• A run tracked with your phone is no longer lost if the app closes before you tap Finish: it's saved to Apple Health the next time you open WorkSet.
• The Lock Screen Complete Set button now completes the set it shows, and uses your shortened rest when you're short on time.
• Meals and workouts imported from Apple Health stay deleted when you delete them.
• AI features now tell you what they cost before using a credit, a credit pack bought on a new phone is kept when iCloud syncs, and a web report that fails to upload no longer costs a credit.
• "How did I do?" now speaks in your unit, kg or lb.
• Editing a workout keeps each exercise's own sets and reps when you remove or reorder exercises, and bodyweight exercises no longer add your bodyweight to the weight you load.
• Progress charts and PRs now count only the sets you actually did.
• Your Apple Watch now keeps measuring your whole workout, so you no longer get estimated calories with the Watch on.
• Workout calories without an Apple Watch are now net of your resting burn, the way Health counts active energy, so they read lower than before; a run your Watch recorded no longer counts twice in the day's total.
• Working weights and suggested jumps now credit a set you hit as planned the same way on the way up and the way down, so simply hitting your plan no longer nudges your working weight upward by itself.
• One-word exercise names like “Squat” or “Curl” now get their muscle group and count toward your weekly volume.
• Also: onboarding keeps your answers even if you swipe between steps; swiping a supplement off Today moves it to Not taking and keeps its history, and changing an Auto supplement's days no longer rewrites past days; copying a food keeps its servings; your protein floor no longer disappears after a body-fat-only reading from Health; workout reminders no longer fire mid-workout; shared workout links tell you when they've expired; the Food week strip follows your Week Starts On setting; and Lift Charts, Calendar and progress photos are quicker.

### 2.3.2 — 2026-09-22

- Fixed a bug where stepping away from an active workout screen and back could split the Watch's recording into two sessions, undercounting the workout's calories.
- Live session: an Add Set button now sits at the bottom of each exercise, so adding a set no longer needs the edit popup.
- Onboarding's plan screen now tells you why the next step (connecting Apple Health) matters before you get there.

### 2.3.1 — 2026-09-21

• Fixed a bug where a workout finished from the Watch could record much lower calories than what you saw live during the session.
• The app is now fully translated into French and Italian, alongside Spanish and Portuguese.
