We'll pass this to the team! ### 1/5 — Endless bugs and cheating *2025-12-27* I’m tired of paying to be a bug tester and cheat reporter for world chess and dealing with cheats playing 95.0 engine moves and using almost no time on the clock - you rarely get the points back. There are also weird situations where you play someone who is 1100 ranked and then you go back on their profile and they are 1500+. I realise the difference between the two rating systems - I’m talking about in FIDE rated games. I report countless faults to them, they make it super hard to do so and constantly ask for error logs that you have already sent which should just generate and be sent to support the moment you send them. **Developer response:** Hello there and thank you for your feedback. It helps us to develop the app further. ### 1/5 — Horrible, one of the worst chess apps by any measure &/or metric! *2025-12-25* It’s slow to respond to moves made and it Crashes a lot.. It constantly keeps me from being able to make a move costing me the game even worse when it’s a won game but then I lose because it doesn’t allow me to make any moves.. And it lacks the feature to control the ratings of the opponents that can play against you, I constantly have to abort a game because the opponent is 400 or more rating points below me, wasting my time and only getting a single point for the win. Horrible anti-cheating measures. And are you guys out of your mind, I did not come here (nor did anyone else) to play against “BOTS”, did you actually think it was ok or even a good idea to have Bots play against people to make it look like you have enough players on here or so that people are not waiting a long time for a game.. We are on here to play against a live opponent.. That was disrespectful, that shows that you don’t care about anyone on here and that you just through this together just to make money.. Das passiert eigentlich ständig trotz stabiler Internetverbindung. Все игры под копирку (даже в турнирах это происходит): 2-3 inaccuracies 0 mistakes 0 blunders 93-97% accuracy (то есть ходов по первой линии Stockfish)! И это соперники с рейтингом до 1200. Единственный способ их обыгрывать - это по времени, выбирать Блиц 3 мин (без добавления на ход). So far I have played 5 games with no lag and no issues. I’m currently in a hotel using terrible hotel WiFi and still no issues. Also so far I can find games fast with real people. I’ll have to try at a few different times in the day to see how consistent that is as I’ve noticed in other chess apps depending on the time of day it is harder for the app to find someone online. I like that I can choose multiple time formats at once to search for potential players, something I haven’t see in other chess apps. Like a few other chess apps you can only play a few puzzles a day unless you get the pro account. Which looks cheaper than the lowest tier of chess.com, though chess.com has way more features. This app does have an additional 10 puzzles that look like they are submitted by players around the world that you can try once your daily free puzzles are complete. Haven’t tried them all but they look difficult. They are also in another language so I don’t know what the “hint” or description of each puzzle is. Rather than having characters to play, you can play AI bots as well. And it will let you play in any time format with a bot which is pretty cool. Playing bullet with an AI robot is kind of crazy! All and all it has the basic stuff every chess app has with the pro account giving you access to the Masterclass lessons with GMs, more puzzles and opportunity to gain FIDE status (which is the main reason I was interested in this app). I like the idea of achieving FIDE rating with the pro account so I can see where I rank against world players but I haven’t signed up yet. I’ll will play a few more games for a few more days/weeks and then consider. Will also update review if I experience any issues. Also the last update is that the rating system on World Chess is now called the Online Elo — the only official Elo rating you can earn online, calculated by FIDE, available to every registered player. Your Online Elo is official from your very first rated game.
