## What is World Continents and Oceans?

Ages 2 & Up. This app has helped thousands of children around the world learn to identify the continents and oceans. Even children who cannot read will be able to learn them all via the integrated audio. Our method of teaching geography has been proven over the past 5 years and we continue to incorporate new features and activities. When it comes to geography, this app is just the start, and we invite you to give our unique method a try. You won't be disappointed!

Learn the names and locations of all the world continents and oceans with this simple, yet, effective method! A knowledge of Montessori is not required to use this app. It is designed for everyone!

Start with the Learning Activity, where children can explore where the continents and oceans appear on the globe, as well as, see and hear the name of each one.

Then, move on to the interactive Puzzle Maps of which there are three types:

1. Assemble the puzzle map by looking for the continent or ocean that is blinking on the map. When they touch the correct piece it will move into position onto the map and its name will be heard aloud.

2. Assemble the puzzle map by looking for the continent or ocean that corresponds to the name shown at the top of the screen. For children who cannot read, simply touch the name to hear it out loud so they know which one to look for.

3. Assemble the puzzle maps in any order by dragging the pieces into position on the map. The piece will snap into position and its name will be heard aloud.


This Montessori application was co-developed and approved by an AMI certified, Montessori teacher with over forty years experience educating children! You will appreciate how the color schemes and design of the Puzzle Maps are close replicas to the Montessori classroom materials, making this app a nice extension to classroom work.

I downloaded it to study for a test and this is hard I do not know how to get to the oceans and the games are too easy when you get it wrong you get to keep picking them UNTLL you get it right which kids can just keep guessing and pretending they studied when they didn’t

This app is straightforward and topic specific.
This is the first geography puzzle presented to children in a Montessori classroom.
This app is done as a puzzle map of the seven continents of the world.
This app has several options of how to build the puzzle; by name, by shape or like a regular puzzle. It has options to either tap or drag the pieces into place.
It also shows the five oceans of the world.
There is an informative part that tells the name and location of each continent and ocean.
This app is great for both Montessorians and non-Montessorians.

The image and voice quality is good.  It is intuitive and there are no adverts.  The only request I would have it that a user would drag and drop the puzzle piece to the map, rather than just selecting it and the app moving  the puzzle piece.  The app isn't very fun.  The music and voice rewards for finishing a puzzle are not very motivational.  However the content is correct and easy to use.
