Think this map is useful. I love geography ### 3/5 — Needs update to work with iOS 11. *2017-12-09, version 2.0* Was great until iOS 11, now does not work. But the map hardly expands--what you see is what you get. Every time you touch the screen, it pops up an ad that takes you to the iTunes Store. Also seems to crash every once in a while, usually while trying to load one of these pop ups. I am getting addicted to it .i love it ### 1/5 — Not kid friendly - beware of "adult" ads *2012-11-29, version 1.8* I downloaded this app for my three school age children, I knew there would be ads, but I did not realize until after opening the app that ads are for "adult" apps. This is not a kid-friendly app and I am disappointed that they use to "education" moniker to bait families. FYI one star is the lowest rating they allow, it deserves NO stars. ### 1/5 — World Map *2012-11-04, version 1.7* We used the world map with our 4 year old granddaughter. It is a good map, however with the addition of the person search, I.e. girls, boys or both, it has become an app that I need to remove from her educational applications. I was so disappointed. In checking the capital of Tanzania (which has been Dodoma since 1996) it said the capital was Dar El Salaam, the old capital. This app canNOT be more than 19 years old! So where are they getting their outdated information? Let's just say I deleted this app right away and will NOT be teaching with it. ### 1/5 — Bad app *2013-09-12, version 1.8* App keeps giving ads even when I close them they send me to the web browser then to the App Store and when I go back to the app it crashes ### 1/5 — World Map *2013-09-11, version 1.8* This app lacks detail and you can not zoom in. I have the paid version and it is a disappointment. This map app is only good to see where a country is in the world. ### 1/5 — Aggressive ads *2013-07-08, version 1.8* I've downloaded over 100 apps for my iPad and this one is the worst in terms of its aggressiveness with ads. They pop over the whole map every time you are trying to view it. Don't bother downloading. ### 1/5 — Well, the reviews are accurate *2013-04-12, version 1.8* Before even seeing anything in the map, I clicked the x to close an ad and got bumped to the iTunes Store (because the have conveniently placed the "Download this app button" in the upper right hand corner, so if you accidentally click the x twice, you are sent to they tunes store. Ingenious for them, but def not for retaining customers. Update: Went back to app after the writing above review and immediately a pop up asking me to upgrade, clicked no and another full page ad. Uninstalling. ### 1/5 — Bad *2013-03-19, version 1.8* The app stinks. Annoying pop ups, and the x to close them is right on top of the button to purchase the full version in the App Store. So when you close the pop up, you end up going to purchase the full version. Very annoying app overall. Much easier maps to use out there. ### 1/5 — Great Ad app *2013-02-12, version 1.8* This is a great app for viewing ads and being forced into the App Store against your will. I think I saw a map in there somewhere too. Move the map, see an ad, try to zoom, go to the AppStore. Ad ad ad ad ad AppStore ad AppStore. Etc. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Exactly what I wanted *2016-11-19, version 2.0* I wanted a map to reference when I heard something about a country on the news, social media that I wasn't familiar with. It works great for that. Has never crashed on my Ipad. ### 5/5 — Use regularly *2016-07-02, version 2.0* This map was free so I don't know what the other reviewers' problems are. And, just like almost every other app, there are those folks claiming that it crashes or doesn't work - well, that's probably the fault of their operating system, not the app. My iPad has the latest iOS and I've only had a problem with an app crashing once (out of hundreds of apps.) This World Map app works well and I regularly use it to figure out exactly where a country or major city is. In the U.S., most people couldn't locate most countries on an unlabeled map, so this FREE map is very handy.
