Created an account, had to immediately change my password for some reason. It is not obvious at all how to sell your books on the app so had to ask the live chat. Created a basket of books to sell, pressed to save, have to log in again! And then wouldn’t accept either of the two passwords I had used. Tried to go back and my basket had disappeared. ### 3/5 — Books list doesn’t load *2026-06-20* It would be useful to be able to browse the books available but sadly they don’t load. Getting a response to a query is really very painful and apparently designed to make you give up! Whenever I and logged into the same account on my desktop, and add something to my cart, I wish that item would be also in my cart on the app; vice versa. Also, their buy 3 get 1 free is always finicky. Sometimes it works great and others it’s really frustrating to get it to work. They also have an extensive eBay store which is always slightly cheaper for the same condition books. I find that strange. The problem with eBay is the buy three get one free is virtually impossible to utilize there. Their eBay support is pretty bad about helping with this. Lastly, if they’re out of the correct condition of the book you ordered, they’ll just send you whatever they have, even if it’s in poor shape. I pretty much explosively purchase very good, but I’ve received two very poor books from them on two occasions. I will give them credit, that their customer service was very prompt in resolving this. I know the margins are low in this business, but hopefully this feedback can help somewhat helpful in improving your tech. Thanks for all you do! ### 3/5 — Unreliable service *2026-02-17* As part of downsizing, my family and I have now completed several trades with WoB. Large number of items tend to be marked as “item not received” despite delivery company tracking showing that they have been received. The issues do always get rectified, but it is disappointing that the service so unreliable. An occasional mistake yes, sure… but this happens so often one can’t buy wonder if they are incompetent or are deliberately trying to scam. HOLD ON TO YOUR TRACKING NUMBERS!! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Discouraged before I even started *2026-07-07* So the chat is a bot so illusion of customer support, they only actually messaged customer support. Nobody responds. I’ve been locked out of my account and waiting. It says 10 minutes. It’s been over an hour already and I have not heard. When you click a genre it doesn’t load. ### 1/5 — Terrible conditions *2026-06-11* Every book I have ordered no matter what condition I order it in has come in terrible condition. The pages are always yellowed and the covers are peeling. Half the time there are also bent pages. Don’t order from here, it is a scam. ### 1/5 — Poor customer service and minimal compensation *2026-06-08* The customer service was very poor and I was offered 28 cents to sell expensive new books, including a $125 book and multiple other books that cost over $50. ### 1/5 — Charity shop stock, badly described *2026-04-25* Prices are low, but quality is really poor. Bought books, smell hit me when opening the package. Contacted customers services- can get a refund but I have to cover the cost of return. I placed 2 orders, half of one I still haven’t received. There is no way to talk to a person. You just get a bot. I’ll shop local instead of a greed company with zero customer support. ### 1/5 — Can’t add anything to your basket!! *2026-04-03, version 7.7* An awful app to try and purchase with, I can never get an Add to Basket button to work. Might as well not bother and use the website. ### 1/5 — Use the website instead *2026-01-31* I have the plus membership and it never applies the discount when logged in properly. I didn’t notice once and I never got the money back. I emailed customer service about this and they told me I needed to use the website. So I am uninstalling this app — what’s the point?
