### 4/5 — Gotta play

*2023-05-18*

I love the game, downloaded it a few weeks ago and played it more than any game until I came across a problem.

While I was playing, I was attacking an empire and than the game had completely just disappeared, I can’t really explain it but I had saved it, now I have to play time to time so I can play for a few minutes. Please fix this glitch or bug.

### 4/5 — Extremely great game!

*2020-09-01, version 1.28*

I love this game, I’ve been playing it for about two years. I wish there would be more bug fixes and trading would be improved, but overall I extremely recommend it to any one interested in games like this

### 4/5 — Good

*2020-05-09, version 1.27*

My only problem with this game is that other players can enter in my territory, i think is better that the only thing can stop the enemy troops was the player own troops

### 4/5 — Can you add create a civilization to this game?

*2020-05-03, version 1.27*

I like the game don’t get me wrong I just want to be able to play as certain civilizations that you don’t get in game. I think it would be nice to see a lot of other people’s creativity in not just maps but civilizations as well.

### 4/5 — Great game but here’s some feed back

*2020-03-15, version 1.27*

I got this game around two weeks ago and have been playing a lot since. Even though I truly enjoy this game there are some problems.

The first problem I have come across is while playing against the easiest ai, all they seem to do is beg for research and produce a plethora of troops. After the first 20 turns they have the whole map pretty much swarmed with troops. This is pretty annoying as they could easily just organize them around their cities.

The next problem I have is with the trading system. The system is overall not very useful (except when I need to get research quickly). This could be fixed by adding a better relationship system with other countries, this would bring in some diversity to the overall layout instead of just having war, research, gold and diplomacy. Also some of the trades that are made don’t really make sense. An example would be giving someone research and gold in exchange for nothing.

Other than those two problems the game is pretty good. The game would have gotten a 5 start review if those two problems would’ve been fixed. If anyone is looking to download I recommend trying it out.

### 4/5 — It still crashes when I’m playing

*2019-12-23, version 1.27*

It’s a good game but the game crashes 90% percent when I’m in the higher turns like 100 and up and also sometime below 100. Please fix this because at these turns it takes longer to load the game.

### 3/5 — Please Fix

*2019-11-16, version 1.27*

Can you please fix the AI because some are able to spam units even when not having resources to do you. The unit spamming in cities makes it impossible to win, not to mention the AI is always sending units north and nowhere else on the map... just north. Not mad or anything just need the bugs to be fixed if possible.

### 3/5 — No Objective

*2019-10-22, version 1.27*

What’s the objective? To build all technologies? I made it to the last 3 techs before I gave up. Enemies had been wiped out for 200 turns and playing by myself. What is the goal? You need to put in victory conditions. Domination, First to space, or something. I don’t wanna keep playing after all other units and cities are destroyed. Oh and the fact the Npc are still active after being destroyed.

### 4/5 — Stuck on loading screen

*2019-08-25, version 1.26*

I would rate 5 stars except sometimes it gets stuck on the creating rivers part of the loading screen

### 4/5 — Edit to previous review (One mixup)

*2019-07-30, version 1.26*

When I said the music was horrible, I was specifically talking about one of the tracks. The rest of the music really is incredible.

### 3/5 — Good but bugs

*2019-06-26, version 1.25*

So far it’s starting if not about to surpass its predecessor but there’s a few bugs for me it keeps kicking me out of the game at around the 100th turn will continue to update my review of this app

### 3/5 — Whyyy

*2019-05-21, version 1.25*

This game can’t even play on lan it’s so complicated and it doesn’t even seem u fixed it from the first game it pisses me off I can’t play now

### 3/5 — Great game, but doesn’t always load

*2019-05-10, version 1.25*

It’ll often get stuck on “generating rivers” and I won’t be able to play.

### 3/5 — Help

*2019-03-28, version 1.25*

Almost all of this game is amazing, it has tons of content, is really in depth, and it’s even free!
But it is nearly impossible to capture enemy cities, and I can’t figure out how. I’ve looked online, did the tutorial, looked at the help, and it all says nothing. If you could help me with this issue, I’ll give 5 stars.

### 3/5 — Amazing with one major flaw

*2019-03-26, version 1.25*

Resource tiles, the tiles like gems or gold, if i leave, they reset as if the building i put on them doesn’t exist anymore, it’s annoying because it limits my gold production
It may just be from Map Editor maps but still
I’m being annoyed

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Freezes at Rivers

*2021-03-05, version 1.28*

I was excited to play a Civ Clone that was made to mobile! Unfortunately, the game freezes when “creating rivers” on the load up screen. I’m playing the game from an iPhone 11 pro max so it is unlikely that performance issues are the cause. Will definitely check back in to see if it gets fixed!

### 1/5 — neat beta

*2020-05-09, version 1.27*

But this isnt ready for release. There's no way to tell when someone has declared war on you except they attack or you check the chart every single round. Thats just one mindnumbingly dumb decision that makes the game virtually unplayable.

I played three games total, no tutorial. I won each game, one at normal hard and very hard difficulty. There was no appreciable difference in difficulty. Just offer alliances with every civ, focus on money nothing else, and offer 50 gp for each tech from other civs. Supereasy. Boring.

### 1/5 — It’s not really that good...

*2019-05-22, version 1.25*

I was a fan of this series since june of 2018 and i really was under the impression it was just like sid meyer’s civilization. Thats not at all the case, as this game hosts a ridiculous number of bugs and head-scratching logic like how iron clads can’t sufficiently hold out amongst caravels, or how you can infinitely use the same cargo ship or caravan.
Diplomacy isn’t at all stable nor does it make sense most of the time. NPC’s who i was friends with merely minutes ago declare war on me for no foreseeable reason. Not to mention half the times they declare war on me it doesn’t actually initiate a war. Giving back cities is no longer an option like it was in World of Empires (1). Not to mention back in the first one if you attacked an NPC regardless you will never be able to be on good terms with them ever again and even if you offer them ALL of you cities they will decline which makes 0 sense.
I recently made the discovery that this game isn't like civ when i played Civ 5 just yesterday. Much better UI that’s not buggy, more in depth relationships and better fighting mechanics.
Maybe this game could have been good, but in reality the developer for WOE 1 way too early and WOE 2 unnecessarily considering the last game came out a year prior. WOE 2 barely improves on the former’s gameplay and still doesn’t manage to impress. If you don’t have money go ahead and get this game if you really want to, but if you want a game that pleases look elsewhere.

### 1/5 — Review of this game.

*2018-08-27, version 1.21*

Honestly, the only perks are that it’s a free game and has custom Civs and maps. Other than that,it’s an asset rip of Civilization V,BE:RT,and VI. The portraits for Casmir III is just a low quality version of his V animation, and Victoria I is a low quality version of VI’s design of her. In addition,it’s also the only time I have seen the North Korean flag be used to represent the “Korean” option in the language menu of a game. If it was less blatantly obvious that this is treading onto Civilization’s designs of leaders,I might have played it more.

### 2/5 — With a few refinements, would be worth playing.

*2023-08-02*

First, this adds nothing new to the 4x (civilization-like) genre. Play Polytopia or Northgard for that. All I wanted was a mobile “Civilization-lite”; unfortunately a few small details cause it to fail for that. These issues ruined my enjoyment: 1) Needs button to cycle through units that can still move this turn. Its too clumsy to open unit popup, look through the units. 2) End Turn button does not show that there are units that have movement left. 3) If you haven’t already played one of the Civilization games, do not attempt to learn this game. It needs much more explanation of each icon, and each technology. Bottom line: was not worth my time, even with low expectations. 4) With only 2 opponents, and in early game, enemy turns were already getting slow enough to be annoying. I fear that once there are many units around, it would be intolerable.

### 2/5 — Good game... but crashes

*2020-02-14, version 1.27*

After turn 250 it starts to crash all the time... with saving every move I made I was able to finish turn 254, but every time I never see turn 255. At the end of the barbarian's turn 254 the game crashes no matter what. I play civilization all the time on PC, and this makes the cut, except for this fatal bug.

### 2/5 — Crashes every time

*2019-06-20, version 1.25*

I would give this a five star rating but I can’t because my game keeps crashing in turn 121 and I can’t move on. This is fun but please fix the crashes and I would rate it 5 stars but for not I will not.

### 2/5 — Game of attrition

*2019-04-14, version 1.25*

I really had high hopes for this game and overall it looked good... but when u start playing u don’t get enough gold, research takes waaay too long, and the tutorial barely touches most of the game icons and most of its mechanics

### 3/5 — Needs some work

*2023-08-22*

The first game I rated 5 stars back before it became a buggy mess presumably incompatible with newer phones.

Since this game is practically a carbon copy of the first, I have a few things on my wishlist Id like to see before I give it 5 stars

1. Add new mechanics, troops, designs, etc to make it stand out more from the first game. I genuinely dont know what led you to making a 2nd one that looks and plays exactly like the first, but id like to see some fundamental differences between the two.

2. Bring back building queues from the first game, it’s much clunkier to wait each turn out for this reason when you have a dozen buildings around.

3. Add an option to not have to sit through watching your units move to speed up turns, make it automatic like the AI get. Call it “multiplayer mode” or something.

4. More competent AI please.

If all these things get added it would be an easy 5 star. Games great otherwise.

### 3/5 — FIX THIS !!!!!

*2019-12-05, version 1.27*

The cities are missing, there’s only land no city after I built them
Game crashes, units that are on carriers disappear when combine two carriers

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great

*2020-10-14, version 1.28*

I wish y’all could update the diplomacy system so it could be alittle more real like

### 5/5 — Loved the game but a lot of bugs

*2020-03-16, version 1.27*

The game is really good and I’m still playing it but it still crashes a lot, the AI only puts out a settler every 20 turns or so even at king mode, and random 2 city nations will declare war on you when you are far more powerful. I still can’t wait for your next game this is wonderful and I hope you keep it free.

### 5/5 — Good job ! I like the way you make the game .

*2019-06-28, version 1.25*

Very good. It is one of my favourite mobile games, please add a diplomacy system in the next update, I know it wouldn't make sense but it would be fun to mix and match alliances in conquest modes.

### 5/5 — Game keeps kicking me out and erases all of my progress

*2019-05-27, version 1.25*

The game keeps just randomly kicking me out and doesn’t even autosaves before it happens could you please fix this I’m using an IPhone 5s.

### 5/5 — I love the game but there is a few issues

*2019-05-08, version 1.25*

I cant play online or and lan game i try and create or my friends try and create never works do any of you guys have this issue

### 5/5 — Great but

*2019-04-28, version 1.25*

Great game but I feel like the promotions should carryover with the upgrades and that there should be a México and Korea and Korea should be scientific and Mexico should be militaristic

### 5/5 — A lot of.

*2018-11-25, version 1.23*

It would be a better game if the developer fixed most of these bugs. One of the bugs I noticed is if a unit is on auto explore and it’s too far away from unexplored tiles it turns off and another is if you select random empire you always end up being the empire you picked last game.

### 5/5 — Good game

*2018-11-24, version 1.23*

Great it almost like civilization but more different I wish they add more units and ones that are special as well. Also wish they added different sounds effect for they units when they’re attacking other units as well as a death sound. And Plz make an animation of ships sinking cuz that would be amazing. Although you have allot more to fix on and add this game is great and I’m loving it. Another problem is that not enough people playing it so online is empty. Anyway great job looking forward for more updates and improvements.

### 5/5 — 🍿

*2018-11-06, version 1.23*

Game was absolutely great I just wish if there was special unit for each city like Sparta and Spartans and stuff like that also I believe if we could make a bigger map and which allows you to put like 30-40 humans would be more challenging

### 5/5 — Really good!

*2018-11-03, version 1.23*

I’ve actually known the first game for a long time, and it was really good, and was the most fun out of all free civilization-like games, so I’m really glad that a new version came out!
