### 4/5 — Needs sound settings feature

*2026-04-25*

This app lacks a volume setting on the iPhone app. I could turn the phone volume off, however that doesn’t work if I want to listen to other music while playing. It seems like a simple feature that should’ve added. I shouldn’t have to make global adjustments to accommodate a game. Otherwise a great game and very enjoyable.

### 3/5 — Just why

*2026-02-11, version 1.0.24101811*

Why hasn’t anyone figured out that people just want to buy something outright then pay for a subscription

### 2/5 — Chapter 4 struck

*2026-01-09*

Loved the game but i cant get past the chapter 4 last stage - Mom's Computer stage!
Please fix it

### 3/5 — My Problems

*2026-01-03*

The game is incredibly fun, it’s unique, it has a fun progression and has incredible story telling. There’s even a side mission to reach the top. The problem, I had made it to the final level, about to beat it, then, my iPad died. Oh well, that’s too bad. So I waited for a few minutes, logged back on world of goo, and ALL of my progress had been deleted. Every single bit.

### 1/5 — Sad how it turned out

*2025-08-17, version 1.0.24101811*

One of the best games of all time... but there is no way I'm paying for a Netflix subscription just for one game, I couldn't even afford it if I wanted to.

### 1/5 — WHY DO U NEED A NETFLIX ACCOUNT TO PLAY

*2025-08-11, version 1.0.24101811*

### 3/5 — Goodwill gone

*2025-08-09, version 1.0.24101811*

I used to own this, bought and paid for. Then it started crashing on launch each and every time and I also see that the OG game has disappeared from the app store and replaced by this one which requires a netflix subscription which I have. But this is deceitful behaviour by the publisher and I regret recently buying WoG2. 2D Boy won’t be getting any more of my money, period. I’m also reconsidering my netflix subscription, they ain’t that good anymore anyway.

### 1/5 — I already hate the game

*2025-07-22, version 1.0.24101811*

I don’t want to pay for a subscription to play a game that I found fun.

### 1/5 — Thieving c*nts

*2025-07-09, version 1.0.24101811*

So to play this game, you have to be paying £12.99 per month??? Stick this game where the sun don’t shine, Netflix!!!

### 1/5 — many crashes back to beginning

*2025-06-06, version 1.0.24101811*

Crashes back to beginning many times. Would love it but for that reason cannot use it as I keep going around in circles. iPad Pro os 18.5

### 1/5 — Need a paid netflix account??

*2025-06-05, version 1.0.24101811*

I swear that when I used to play this when I was little, I didn't need a netflix account, it was free? It would be okay for netflix to make their own games that you need an account to play, but to take away an already existing game that was once free is quite cruel I think.

### 1/5 — Trash liers

*2025-05-20, version 1.0.24101811*

need netflix payment

### 1/5 — Settings?

*2025-04-01, version 1.0.24101811*

Shockingly lazy

### 1/5 — Disappointing

*2025-03-19, version 1.0.24101811*

I grew up playing this game, and was super excited to see it on the App Store. Bad news is, it’s impossible to play without jumping through half a million hoops and paying for a Netflix account. Really sad to see the company sell itself out like this

### 2/5 — Volume

*2025-03-18, version 1.0.24101811*

Where are the volume options?

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Sad

*2026-02-18*

The original world of Goo didn’t require a sign in. We own the world of goo on one of my family members phones but it no longer is available for download because it came out before the App Store. Cant you just make the new stuff locked behind the sign in and leave the main game up for free?

### 1/5 — Nope

*2025-12-30, version 1.0.24101811*

Requires a Netflix sign in to play and I’m not dealing with all that.

### 1/5 — Netflix kills good products

*2025-12-16, version 1.0.24101811*

Return me original World of goo! This is cheap variant of original game

### 1/5 — Break from Netflix

*2025-12-06, version 1.0.24101811*

I don't wanna be charged MONTHLY to play this game

### 1/5 — Netflix sucks

*2025-12-06, version 1.0.24101811*

Paying a Netflix subscription just for this game is not worth it

### 1/5 — Netflix

*2025-12-04, version 1.0.24101811*

Don’t like having to log into Netflix to play. I paid for this game already. Disappointed.

### 1/5 — No settings option!

*2025-09-14, version 1.0.24101811*

I can’t listen to the repetitive circus music nonstop… Please, please give us an option to turn it off.

### 1/5 — A Netflix account?

*2025-09-02, version 1.0.24101811*

I don’t really understand why you need to have a Netflix account just to play a game, I get it’s an old game but I don’t want to have to use a Netflix account just to enter a game. Maybe if it costed like what, 5 bucks? Then yeah if the games good enough I’d buy it, but I’m not using a Netflix account that I’d have to pay a whole 18 dollars almost 19 dollars basically every month JUST to play a game when I can buy it the one time and not have to pay again, I think this is ridiculous, I just wanna relive some old memory of this game and I can’t even, I know you have a second game, but I feel like I’d rather the first one, I want to relive the levels I once played, I wanna remember everything I played, not just the fact that the second version is a replica leading into the story. All I want is to play a game to look back into what I only get a little memory from.

### 1/5 — I brought this game

*2025-08-21, version 1.0.24101811*

I be already paid for this game and hasn't been played for while and now I re-download it and find myself force to subscribe to Netflix which I don't currently use and now this game useless until I've paid Netflix as well

### 5/5 — NOSTALGIC!

*2026-07-10*

I used to watch my dad play World of Goo on the Wii all the time back then with my little siblings. Coming back to this game after all these years is incredibly nostalgic!!! and it still functions exactly how I remember it.

The music, the physics, the artwork…

This game never fails to entertain me and keep me busy. There’s no ads or micro transactions which is a relief. Just the game I remember.

World of Goo is without a doubt fun for kids and adults! maybe even your cat or parrot! Whether you enjoy physics based puzzles, creative problem solving, or just want a charming game to relax with, I highly recommend giving this game a try!

**Developer response:** We’re happy to hear you’re enjoying the game! We appreciate hearing players' feedback on what we are doing well and areas where we can enhance.

### 5/5 — Love it

### 5/5 — I like this game

*2025-09-24, version 1.0.24101811*

I will this is the best game ever And you can build I will rate five stars

### 5/5 — Listen Children!

*2025-08-24*

It’s crazy how these kids get a phone or iPad from their parents then start demanding games for free. 😂 That’s not how things work. Welcome to the real world, you have a lot to learn.
Don’t give a good game a negative rating because you can’t pay for it.

### 5/5 — Good game love it

*2025-06-20, version 1.0.24101811*

### 5/5 — King of the genre

*2024-12-01, version 1.0.24101811*

One of the best puzzle games I’ve ever played, very unique art style and gameplay loop

### 5/5 — This game is so good.

*2024-10-19*

I played this game back a decade ago and it is still super fun. The mechanics are brilliant and I love the world. It can be frustrating in the best way.

It’s not perfect of course, but it’s a real joy

### 5/5 — One of the best games out!

*2024-09-23*

Bring WoG 2 to mobile!!! Take my money!! Ignore the bad reviews… they are from poor people who are jelly they don’t have Netflix and unable to play the game!! Nothing wrong with this version. In fact it’s smoother than before!!

### 5/5 — Classic

*2024-08-16, version 1.0.23060710*

A classic from the early days of mobile gaming. Does bring back memories. Soundtrack is perfectly quirky and overall World of Goo a good example of creative game design

### 5/5 — World of goo 2
