### 5/5 — Ridiculous

*2021-07-06*

I’ve never had an app where you need to be invited to join … I sent my invitation in May but no reply and still I can’t use the app.. I like good food and good restaurants , and I like the idea of the app.. but why the application ? The period of time to join is a joke ..

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — App Crashing

*2025-07-20*

Great concept, but the app crashes so much that it’s basically unusable.

### 1/5 — Useless app

*2025-02-16*

Did not show me a single restaurant in my area

### 1/5 — $100/year to subscribe???!!!!!

*2022-12-25, version 4.1.0*

So, first they grab your info because before you can do anything you have to sign up for an account. THEN, they hit you up for $100/year (after a short free time). No thank you. Seriously, just tell everyone how much you cost before you waste their time making them jump through hoops. The app may be great, but your business practices are suspect. So, again, NO THANK YOU!

### 1/5 — Worst food app

*2022-06-17*

Saw this app on "Somebody Feed Phil". Asked for all the information to make an account, then didn't even have any restaurants in my city. Might as well use Yelp

### 2/5 — Vapid subset of restaurants for the ‘gram perpetual tourist set

*2025-06-06*

Ugh. My kingdom for a decent tasca where locals eat instead of all the trendhunter poser nonsense.

The app professes the world’s best restaurants “recommended by top chefs” - when chefs notoriously smoke, destroying their taste buds, and regularly abuse alcohol and drugs. Every Michelin-starred chef I know, without exception, subsists almost completely on junk food and instant noodles consumed with cheap alcohol at 4am.

This is just one example of the problem of when you gamify an app to pump up supposed “influencers’. Influencer culture is the problem, not the solution.

And it shows here already. There are great lists if you love food marketing and faux friend envy over flavor and history. The app, like many of the places it endorses, is more about you being seen than you having a great meal. Please kill the Instagram influencer wannabe culture and make the food the focus, not who is promoting it.

### 2/5 — Where is the start button

*2023-06-19*

Signed up but can’t figure out how to review.

### 2/5 — $100/yr??

*2023-01-18, version 4.1.0*

The idea & look are fantastic. I’m NOT paying for access to people’s reviews & recommendations. This could be a really cool helpful app, but I will just use yelp instead for free.

### 3/5 — Stop asking for location data

*2022-06-08*

I did not allow it to track my location, and yet it keeps asking me every time I move anywhere within the app. I’d rather delete this than be annoyed. And no, I’m not providing location even though it may be easier.

### 4/5 — Great idea - small touch ups needed

*2022-08-13*

Great idea - i love to have such a collection of foodie recs in the world. Some keys points to make the app even better:
- allow to hide the members’ rec on a map. It’s not supposed to be an instagram or mapstr bis with everyone recs. When browsing through the map i only want to see the spots of the experts that I follow.
- allow small edits in recs
- why does it take so long to subscribe/ unsubscribe to someone?
- allow groupement - some address in richmond are actually in « greater london » and it should be possible to get it in the london guide

Otherwise great work!

### 5/5 — Essential app for foodies

*2024-06-14*

This app is a must-have for any foodie! It’s the best restaurant guide I've ever used, even surpassing the Michelin guide. Curated by top culinary experts, it covers everything from casual eateries to gourmet spots and hidden gems.

It's my most-used app when I travel, letting me easily book tables, check restaurant details, and plan trips in advance. Whenever I want to dine out, this app is my go-to. Highly recommend!
