Been playing for years! *2025-02-07, version 7.0.3* WoW is a GREAT game, many games actually since there are so many different boards that are customizable! I've befriended strangers who I've played with for years. Tides & tables can & do change on a dime - part luck, part skill. The original name of the game was War of Words to suggest the opposite of Words with Friends, which this definitely is, & I understand if the creator Jeremy Fuller wanted to get "War" out of the title. Since there are a multitude of Worlds, the series' revised title is appropriate & accurate. I do pay subscription for access to wider selection of boards which is totally worth it! Great game/s! Kudos to the creators! ### 5/5 — A great continuation of a classic game *2020-09-27, version 6.0.1* War of Words was a favourite game of mine for some years, it was a sadly overlooked gem and probably the best and most fun multiplayer word game on the App Store. World of Words is an excellent reboot of that, with a few tweaks and a whole load more content available. The subscriptions are reasonably priced and offer plenty of extra stuff for your money but don’t worry, you can still get plenty of enjoyment without them, and if it’s a sustainable way for the developers to keep the game going it’s worth it. I don’t think this game gets the attention it deserves which is a shame as it’s a real hidden gem, and you’ve nothing to lose by trying it, so why not give it a shot? ### 3/5 — Always liked these but being subscription based... *2019-08-03, version 5.0.4* It needs to offer an easier way to get help, and better tile functionality, moving the tiles around on my 8 plus is frustrating at times. Great concept, but so complex at times, I’m not sure its worth my time, especially at $5.99 a month for fullest version, but hey if you learned it and get it, kudos to you, playing on an iPad might help too...And you really need to subscribe to rid of ads???
