I made one transfer of $600, but for some reason the transaction was duplicated and two identical payments were sent to the same recipient. I contacted WorldRemit as soon as I realised what had happened because I only intended to send the money once.

What has been most frustrating is that I have not been given a proper solution. I was first told there might be a possibility of recalling one of the transfers through the receiving bank, but afterwards I was told that because the money had already been delivered, there was nothing they could do and that I should contact the recipient myself.

This is extremely disappointing. My concern is not simply that I changed my mind after sending money — I am disputing why a duplicate transaction happened in the first place when my intention was to make only one transfer.

I’ve been trying to send money to my friend in the Philippines for a while now, and WorldRemit makes the process easy and transparent. Not only that, I love the way the User Interface looks. Very simple to navigate and aesthetically pleasing. It’s one of the better services for sure and they give you great rates. If you need to send money to friends or family abroad, give WorldRemit a try!

I have used WorldRemit for over 10 yrs and initially asked for my ID few years into using it which is fine. To my shock, I logged on now and being asked for same thing. I have two issues with this - first, why do I need to upload my ID every few years, did I change from being the person I am? Secondly, as these are highly sensitive data, would love to know how such data are handled as it contains every information about me. Stating on your FAQs that it is stored does not g tell me enough as to how it is and who can access such information. Even my bank does not ask for my ID to be uploaded every few years. Explanations please!

If you decide to use this service for money transfer think twice because they are the most useless remittance service ever I made a transfer which never got delivered but their system marked it as delivered it’s been over 5 days but nothing you can’t call anyone to talk to them they have no reliable customer service, and when you chat with them all they say is we are trying to contact our local partner what the hell? had a chat with some rude guy called James who even ended the chat because his empty brian can’t help him come up with a solution.
