They promised my transfer would be completed within one hour, but even after several hours the money was still not received. This was an urgent Eid transfer for my family, and because of their delays my family had to wait for shopping and important expenses. This is not even my first bad experience with them. Repeated delays, poor communication, and false promises have completely destroyed my trust in this service. A money transfer company should understand how important timely transactions are, especially during emergencies and special occasions. I’ve tried to send money through WorldRemit twice, and BOTH times WorldRemit told me the money had been successfully sent and received, yet the recipient never received anything. What makes it even worse is how they’ve handled it afterward. Instead of actually investigating where my money went, they keep sending me in circles, telling me to get more information from the recipient or have the recipient check with their bank. What exactly is the customer supposed to investigate? I paid WorldRemit to deliver the money. If you’re telling me the transfer was completed, then you should be able to show where the money went. This has now been going on for around 5–6 MONTHS. I still have no refund, no proper resolution, and not even a meaningful follow-up. Every time I contact them, it feels like the entire process starts from the beginning again: “We need to check with the recipient’s bank.” Then I wait, nothing happens, I contact them again, and we go through the same thing all over again. At this point I became so frustrated that I decided to close my account. Even that turned into a ridiculous experience. I was speaking to an agent through the WorldRemit app, and they told me I needed to be “logged in” to close my account. I’m literally messaging you from YOUR APP while logged into my account! This is easily the worst experience I have ever had with a remittance company. When you are dealing with people’s money, especially money being sent to family or people who may actually need it, you cannot operate like this. Two failed transfers, months of chasing them, no refund, no proper explanation, and practically zero customer service. I would never recommend WorldRemit to anyone based on my experience. I no longer trust this company with my money. I continually get the message that it was unable to upload. I have spent way way too much time trying to do this! Some time ago, I sent money to someone in extreme urgency, they did not deliver, then I sent again canceling the first transaction hoping I will get the refund back. I never got the refund for cancelling the amount and on top even 2nd transaction was never delivered. When called they said they’ll look into it. Over a year I never got my money back. Exchange rates and fees are shown clearly before confirming any transfer. My usual transfers arrive within minutes, and tracking is simple.
