I absolutely got lost in the story and the music and the beautiful backdrops. But the game ended way too soon (otherwise I would have given more stars). I have many unanswered questions: like, What happened to the purple baby and why was he flying and why is he special? —- My suggestion, if you’re going to leave it like that, is to at least make a restart/replay option (so I don’t have to delete it and redownload in order to play the game again) and also to have a “clock” option so that I could just stay on the “home” part of the map and be able to see the time while listening to ethereal music. This game has a story like a childhood dream. Those times where we could be the main character inside a fantasy land. I always loved to daydream about a fantasy world and this game just seems to have made a daydream come to life. Although, the story seem unfinished. I’m guessing that this game is a prologue to a much greater story. (or atleast so are my hopes.) However, as much as I loved the story, I couldn’t help but feel a little dissapointed with some mechanics of the game. So here are some of my thoughts and suggestions for if ever there is a second game. Firstly, I couldn’t help but get confused with all the new names. Not only are there names to call each individual but there are also new names for all the new gods and creatures and I had a hard time trying to catch up with them. I even took screen shots every time a new name was mentioned but that still wasn’t enough. I suggest adding a dictionary/ journal type of book to help players immerse themselves into the story better. Secondly, the ‘real time affecting in-game time’ feature was dissapointing. Not going to lie, I had high hopes for this feature but it barely did anything in-game. It just changed the background. I was hoping for something like ‘special dialogues that play when you play at a certain time’ or ‘not really effecting the main plot but peep talk with other characters that differ depending on what time of the day you talk to them’. I’ve never learned programming so I don’t know how hard this is to create. And I apologize if it sounded like I was angry because the feature was not to my liking. But I personally think it might not be worth advertising that real time affects in-game time if all it does is change the background to look like night time. Lastly, I hope there will be other things to do in between the story progression. After completing a short story, you need to wait sometime before the next story starts and during that time, you can’t do anything except staring at the empty background. You can’t interact with anything, no characters who you can talk to. You can’t even move around the map. There is nothing you can do. I hope this empty time can be use to do something. (Maybe even character interactions like suggested above..?) Over all I really loved the game. I did say alot of downsides but non of them proved to be major issues.
