The first thing I gotta say is that this game is definitely worth playing. I mean there’s not much gameplay but it’s the story that I like, this game will make you feel all kinds of feelings. I mean the story was building up to be one big finale and let me tell you, I literally had to mash the X button on my controller sooo hard I almost broke the thing. Thank you so much for making this wonderful journey. ### 4/5 — TOO MUCH DIALOGUE, TOO LITTLE GAMEPLAY *2021-07-14, version 2.0.0* Apparently the game has multiple endings, but after eight or more hours of play, I've probably experienced enough of the game. I have no interest in wading through however many more "endings" are available. On the plus side, the game's puzzles/challenges are reasonably solved or overcome without having to play stages over and over (as some games require). The graphics are nice, too. But the game has its faults: 1. Way too much dialogue relative to game play. Some of it goes on for 10 minutes. 2. Voice overs border on over-acting as if done by first-year high school drama students. 3. Controls are clunky when using a keyboard (there is no way to use your mouse). 4. An abrupt and sudden ending (at least in the Toyko ending) explains nothing about what came before. It's like an unfinished novel that leaves the player unsatisfied and feeling a little cheated. 5. It's unclear way to exit the game. Force quit? 6. The playere also has to repeat too much of a stage if you quit mid-stage to go on with real life. ### 5/5 — Love it but one thing hade me lol *2021-06-22, version 2.0.0* So I love love love this game I am addicted but in the seen where you chose between the two places either haven’t a bigger chance to find a adult or getting home quicker if you chose getting home quicker it say your even when Aniki disides to go home quicker it’s not even. The writing is amazing and the characters are great too. When I think about all the characters I find that if even one was missing the game would be entirely different. Each character contributes to what the game is. Emotion at least for me is conveyed amazingly too. So all in all great job guys! From AlbinoGrayWolves ### 5/5 — Favorite mobile game! *2021-05-20, version 1.0.1* I loved this game! As a huge anime fan I love the design and story. This game has great characters with larger than life personalities other than Reycho, the player character. I love the shocking twist with one of the characters (you’ll know if you play/played), and the amazing amount of foreshadowing I only noticed later on. My only issue is how the game ended abruptly and I hope for more levels in another update or a sequel. But other than that, it’s perfect. ### 5/5 — Great! *2021-05-15, version 1.0.1* As a Danganronpa fan, this is quite similar with the ‘Game of Fate’ and the killing game. Though it’s gameplay and experience is short, it’s a fun hour to spend of playtime. (It takes fairly an hour to complete) I also love how Pielope’s design is similar to Monokuma’s. Both monochrome. Pielope is kind of like a mix of Kokichi and Monokuma, amiright? It’s a fun game to replace Danganronpa. I would recommend if you like murder mystery games and/or Danganronpa. (Edit: I played the game again, and it seems there’s more to it.) ### 4/5 — Great but it’s past 2021 Spring *2021-05-10, version 1.0.1* It’s great best apple arcade game ever played but it’s past spring 2021 so maybe so maybe I’ll have to wait until I don’t know 2031 winter time and I have like 25 phones by then but it’s a seriously good game I like how it allows you to go back when you do the first ending and get to do the seconds but there’s one thing I feel like there should be more of that weird demon Poupee seriously I don’t know how to spell it but overall it’s the best Apple Arcade game that I have👌😁 ### 4/5 — Great story, just too easy. *2021-04-30, version 1.0.1* I have a list of amazing Apple arcade games, and this would make at least 3rd on the list. Probably one of the most underrated games ever. The story is amazing with tons of twists and turns throughout the story, and you get toknow and love the characters. Every good game has that. The game also has a couple of downsides as well. 1, You can beat the game easily. The gameplay is too easy. The bosses are creative. But I never died on them, and when I did, it was a mistake I made. 2, I finished all the missions, got all the buddy skills. I don't get a reward, the game doesn't even tell me, hey, great job on 100 percenting the game! But that is it on the bad stuff, in conclusion, this game has a great story, but just needs to be harder. ### 5/5 — Visual Novel, aka. expect text and story *2021-02-05, version 1.0.1* I'm loving the extended demo and will definitely get the game once it's fully released! My main problem is that sometimes the controls can be hard to use. Other than that, I've encountered a few misc. bugs that didn't impact the gameplay, only visuals. Imo, this game is a 4 (or 4.5) star game, but I'm giving it 5 stars since some of the 1 star reviews are only rated so low because said person couldn't figure out a puzzle lol. I’m not too sure if I’ll want to play the full version on switch when it comes out next year. The controls felt awful and the story felt unfleshed out as did the characters. The beginning was cool but they lost the appeal without that murder game aspect. Camp portions felt boring and didn’t add much at all to the relationship the MC has with the characters. The difficulty meter was always so timid and easy, even with the one hit kill attacks. I got Apple Arcade to play this game and it was NOT worth it. Just wait for the switch version that will supposedly be the complete version. ### 1/5 — THE GAME IS INCOMPLETE. *2020-09-04, version 1.0.1* The developers have stated this game is incomplete and the story ends on a cliffhanger. It is not wise to download this game right now, as they said in 2021 a switch version will release with a completed version of the game. I assume the same will happen to this version on iOS at the same time, with the unreleased content updated in. Until such time, I advise you not to bother with this game. If this required payment, I would have felt ripped off. Is THAT why this is a Apple Arcade exclusive for a limited time and it was released without ANY buildup? 😡 ### 2/5 — Engaging story, enormous cutscenes *2021-03-02, version 1.0.1* This game has some good writing, a great story and really engaging characters. It also has insanely long cutscenes and the gameplay is...well, almost non-existent. I have about five hours in the game already and I feel like I have done nothing but restart cutscenes because I had to take a break in the middle of one. They were ambitious with the number of characters but trying to fit that much dialogue in has hampered everything else that they were trying to create. ### 2/5 — Slow text reading game *2020-12-04, version 1.0.1* The opening section is rather disturbing and doesn't seem appropreate for children. Then the rest of it is too slow and simple for older players. Once they leave the underwater area it seems like a totally different game, and feels like endless text with such slow advancement. The only reason I kept playing was I did want to see the ending - and then there wasn't one! It's unfinished. Runs smoothly on my 7 year old mac, and looks beautiful. But in the short sections where you get to actually DO things, it plays like a flash game. Clumsy controls and not much depth in what you do. It bugged me that the game doesn't recognize when you have talked to everyone, and keeps asking you if you really want to skip the dialog. ### 2/5 — This game is weird. *2020-11-26, version 1.0.1* I said that because the 1st act tells you an ending and the the second act tells you how it happened and there is no ending leading up to the first act. I have 5 options for you. Option 1: you add that ending and a string leading up to that act and right after it.. an ending. Option 2: You can eliminate the other endings to make space. Option 3: You clone the first act into another act that leads to the same ending. Option 4: You make a story based plot twist which involves a mini game and the correct choices on story. Option 5 is to ignore me and this review and make the game still be weird as is. Which one are you gonna pick? (Hint: the better options are 1 and 3.) Please do this. ### 3/5 — Long story with a little game play *2022-06-24, version 2.0.0* The story line and voices really are fantastic but the actual game is infrequent and not even necessary. There’s no real puzzle challenge or genuine platform progression; you move the characters from point A to B continue the dialogue. At best it’s a choose-your-own-adventure of guessing where to stand to avoid spending more time on loading and repeated dialogue. ### 3/5 — I wish you had more say *2021-10-03, version 2.0.0* Most of the time, Aniki is totally right. Sure, sometimes he’s brutally honest, but the team is always so soft, so they’re like “oh no, you’re being mean, stop being mean”, and you HAVE to side with them, because there’s no options to have your own opinion. I just wish you could side with Aniki more, and, idk, form bonds? Have opinions? Share them? Also I really don’t like the romance subplot… it’s really weird, given the ages of the characters, which are never actually shared, as far as I know. I just wish you didn’t have to just be a blind sheep, following the pack’s opinion. When Aniki’s berating Mowchan, I want a choice to agree. I might not pick it, but I want it to be there. ### 3/5 — Unfinished game! *2021-08-22, version 2.0.0* I love this game, but it is still under development and I played half the game to find out that there’s only one ending. I’m also frustrated that the game is complete on some formats and that I have a device that does not have this game finished. I have one suggestion…please tell players in the game that this game is not complete! ### 3/5 — Boring and too Easy *2021-06-14, version 2.0.0* After a couple hours into gameplay, I could almost predict line for line what each of these characters were going to say. Maybe I’d tolerate that if the gameplay were good, but it’s not. Controls are super clunky. This game is almost good in so many ways, but falls flat. I’ve played for 6 hours but will not be playing further. ### 3/5 — Crazy game *2020-10-25, version 1.0.1* While this game has some platforming elements, it's mostly a graphical novel. So any rating of this game has to be on the story, not the gameplay. And it has the craziest story ever. It's enough to keep me playing for a while, but it's not for everyone. The story is post-apocalyptic sci-fi. But even with that, everything is a bit odd. Strange things keep happening to the group, and at the same time they have their own melodramas going on. I don't want to give away anthing, but it doesn't start making sense as it goes on. The worst part is that the game ends on a cliffhanger. The graphics are interestingly diverse. The backgrounds are rendered realistically, while the characters are cell shaded and the boss fights look like they come from a child's drawing. Still other parts look like a old-fashoned printing process. It might be worth playing just to see how they do that. The music is simple and repetitive. I recommend turning it off. I'm so glad I checked it out! I loved the graphics, story, and the characters. The flirting/love stories in the subplot were a little weird since the characters are supposed to still be in grade school, but I just overlooked it. The story was worth it. I really wanted Pochi and Nyoro to und up together as you see I have a lot of questions but over all the game was fantastic!
