### 5/5 — Love the goals tool

*2025-12-01, version 5.0.35*

Recently used the goals setting and the automated suggestions for tasks is amazing!

### 5/5 — Very helpful

*2024-12-03, version 4.0.10*

I literally was to tired to go upstairs and take notes to my actual anxiety journal and searched an app, and this app helped me a lot and it has all the right questions to fill an anxiety journal. Keeping a journal by itself helps me a lot and I really feel an absolute relief right now thanks to this application. I’ll keep using it!

### 5/5 — Super app for mental health

*2023-04-11, version 3.0.0*

Recommended by a CBT therapist two years ago and used ever since.
I love the way you can record ‘gratitudes’ each day - it helps you stay focused on the present. And there are great tools to help you deal with worries that are CBT based.
Well done to the makers of this app!

### 5/5 — Love the app but issue since update

*2023-03-04, version 2.5.30*

Hi,
I’ve been using this app for a long time and it’s great. I chose it because of the simplicity and content.
Since the update I keep having to log in every time I open the app. Please let me know how to fix that.
Thank you :)

### 5/5 — Excellent Update

*2023-02-22, version 2.5.27*

New design of this app is really nice looking and cool. Many new features added. Loved it. Especially sensory practice feature.

Thanks for bringing this update WorryTree team

### 5/5 — Great App to help with anxiety

*2023-02-02, version 2.5.06*

Has helped me a lot already. Was recommended it in CBT therapy and will definitely be using it going forward. :) a great app to have!

### 5/5 — Wow!

*2022-12-21, version 2.5.06*

I couldn’t sleep - stressing about worries. Found this. This is so simple and positive.

A lot of choices to personalize & simple explanations. I highly recommend the paid version. I went with the monthly. $2 a month doesn’t stress me. You can change it in the Apple ID subscriptions. (You can also cancel there - so don’t be afraid to try it.)

Part of the reason I paid is that I want to app to be supported for a long time. So if we pay, we get to have it longer.

I did make some suggestions already and their suggestion form suggests they are very open.

### 5/5 — Get it!

*2022-11-08, version 2.5.06*

This is the absolute best app out there for managing your thoughts and worries. It’s clean and simple to use, and you can refer back to your entries, how you felt, and best of all the solutions or outcomes which is super helpful. Love it!

### 5/5 — Helpful

*2022-10-11, version 2.5.06*

I was recommended this app on a course I’m doing. It’s been helpful with my anxiety & trying to stop things from overwhelming me.

### 5/5 — Super!

*2022-09-07, version 2.5.06*

A super app that I recently discovered alongside my CBT therapy. The different stages are great and has really supported my improvement in my anxiety.

### 5/5 — It doesn’t open on iPhone 6.

*2022-08-31, version 2.5.06*

It close itself before it opens.
Could you please fix it for iPhone 6. I really would like to use this app.
Thanks in advance
Regards

### 5/5 — One of the best UI for a journal app

*2022-08-31, version 2.5.06*

The colours and the haptics are so subtle, I feel calm as soon as I start using the app. On top of it the idea of jotting down the steps to resolve my worries, it is a mindset changing aspect for me. Love it 😊

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Misses the point

*2025-01-13, version 4.0.10*

I don’t really understand why you have to fill out your personal details when you sign up. And to be actually able to log your worries, you need a paid subscription. I used to recommend the reachout worry time app to my patients which was perfect and did exactly what CBT recommends: you store your worries, set a time to come back to them, and then take some time to go over all of them and repeat. It was free, no sign up required. Sadly they discontinued it. This app seems to be the closest alternative, but again.. It would have been nicer if you actually simplified it a little and made it more accessible (I.e. free, no subscriptions)

### 1/5 — Very intrusive

*2024-05-13, version 4.0.8*

Wow I deleted this before I even got started, it wants you email address and then it asks for your mobile number. You can’t register without giving them this info - no thank you.

### 1/5 — Don’t bother

*2023-01-11, version 2.5.06*

Hello I’ve tried email these people to ask about a dark theme,
white aggravates my disorder everything invisible and what do they send back ?
BRIGHT WHITE EMAIL SCREEN SO I CABT SEE ANYTHING OJ THE PAGE blind,d me.

If you want something helpful with people who listen to disability needs try someplace else because these ppl DON’T LISTEN. I’ve had t trash their email.
That’s going t help the business a lot, nice move shoot urself in foot
Now I need some other to help me with the MOre STREss they cause me.
Regards

### 2/5 — Paywall to do any worrying (lmao)

*2025-03-19, version 4.0.10*

To do things you wanna do in the app (such as starting with a worry), you need to upgrade to their subscription

### 3/5 — Subscription not recognized

*2024-08-11*

Everytime I open the app online, I have to reset/confirm my purchase before I can add information about a new worry. Even when open it up from a notification text. That’s quite annoying. Otherwise, it’s a pretty good tool for CBT.

### 3/5 — Good except for plus

*2022-11-15, version 2.5.06*

I like it and it really helps with my anxiety but it’s weird that the subscription button is on the homescreen next to the worry button - it’s be nice to not have it in your face

### 3/5 — Forgotten pin

*2022-03-01, version 2.5.05*

There is no option, that I can see, to reset your pin to enter the app. I’ve got no idea what my pin is so unable to access.

### 4/5 — Request: Clear indicator of free vs paid services

*2026-02-03, version 5.0.361*

Interesting app. Much needed. I wish the team best of luck with this valuable project.

But the first hurdle is actually navigating the app as a new user. Everything I click on makes the subscription window pop up. Most apps will put a little star icon in the corner on paid-exclusive features. Without it, I’m frustrated before I even test out the available features. Please consider this minor but important change.

### 5/5 — Helpful

*2026-03-30, version 5.0.40*

I was recommended this app on a course I’m doing. It’s been helpful with my anxiety & trying to stop things from overwhelming me.

### 5/5 — Much needed support system

*2025-12-19, version 5.0.35*

I cannot recommend Luma enough to those who suffer anxiety and overthinking as part of our myriad of diagnoses. In a world where we lack NHS support we deserve plus have to deal with the current demonisation of mental illness in the media I find some genuine empathy and compassion here. Louise manages to make me feel less alone and provides words of comfort in such difficult times. Of course it is not a cure or a solution but a damn fine support system to lean on and we all need that?

## Most praised reviews (8 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2025-12-14, version 5.0.35*

Luma is perfect for getting thoughts out of your head. I’ve been using it for a few years now. It’s reassuring to know it’s there for when anxiety creeps back.

### 5/5 — Thanks!

*2025-12-11, version 5.0.35*

I started only 3 days ago, so I can‘t say much. Luma helps me to look at my worries, to describe them and to get through the day. It sounds trivial, but it works!

### 5/5 — Great app for overthinker

*2025-12-10, version 5.0.35*

Found this app recently and now use it daily. Super useful for managing my overthinking brain.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2025-12-09, version 5.0.35*

Recommeded via CBT group when this was Worry Tree - now Luma. Very useful and well structured and presented. Helped me during an extremely difficult time and I still dip in to practise. Recording worry helped reduce ruminating and enabled me to see patterns. The gratitude practise helped enormously and having the reminder each day brought me into a habit that has really evolved my outlook. I also enjoyed the sensory practises and this helped me during acute epsiodes of overwhelm. The app has been developed futher since I first started using it and the additon of values and goals is excellent. A quality app which is a cut above in my opinion; accessible, easy to navigate, lovely to look at and simple, but very, very effective if you use it. Thank you for creating a truly useful and beneficial self help tool, rather than yet anopther app - this one delivers!

### 5/5 — Great app

*2025-12-02, version 5.0.35*

Great app. Very well designed and structured and I find it very useful to think through any troubles I have. Has made a very positive difference to me when required.

### 5/5 — Review

*2025-12-01, version 5.0.35*

Really helps with anxiety and overthinking. Allows you to access tools to control something that’s been consuming you for a while.

### 5/5 — Excellent tool

*2025-12-01, version 5.0.35*

I have found this app to be simple to use and extremely helpful for giving me the tools to cope especially anxiety. Thank you

### 5/5 — Nice app

I liked the mood tracking weather tool.
