## What is Worship SPL?

How loud should church worship be? Your church sets the limit. Worship SPL keeps the record.

Keep an iPhone at the mixer during the service. Worship SPL shows the 15-minute average at the center of the seating area, compares it with your church's limit, and saves a one-page report your whole sound team can see. Stop guessing whether Sunday was too loud, and whether the stage or the mains made it that way.

Live levels and the 15-minute average are free. A subscription adds service logs and reports, team sharing, Stage Volume Check, and Position Correction.

SERVICE MONITOR
- Live level and the 15-minute average
- Time over the limit your church chooses
- Logs each service and makes a one-page PDF report to share

SHARE WITH YOUR TEAM
- Invite your sound team through iCloud
- Everyone sees the same limit, position correction, checks, and service logs
- Invited members view for free with their own Apple Account

STAGE VOLUME CHECK
During rehearsal, mute only the mains at the times the app shows. The iPhone at the center of the seating area compares mains off and on in each frequency band, three times. You see where the mains add a lot, and where they add little because the stage is already loud.
- 1/3-octave bands from 63 Hz to 16 kHz
- Repeats three times and tells you when the results don't agree
- Saves each check to your church's record and marks bands that differ from your usual

POSITION CORRECTION
- If your mixer isn't in the middle of the room, measure a correction once with pink noise, one step per screen
- After that, the iPhone at the mixer estimates the level at the center of the seating area

CALIBRATION
- Calibrate once with a sound level meter (A-weighting, Slow) to read your level in dB
- Without calibration, levels are relative. The checks still compare mains off and on with the same iPhone.

FREE AND SUBSCRIPTION
- Free: live levels and the 15-minute average
- Subscription (monthly or yearly, 14-day free trial for new subscribers): service logs and reports, inviting your team, Stage Volume Check, and Position Correction

Audio is analyzed on your iPhone. It is not recorded, saved, or sent anywhere. Only the levels, checks, and service logs are saved, and when you share with your team they go to your church's iCloud record.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.5 — 2026-10-18

• Your service log is saved every minute. If the app closes during a service, you can save or discard that log the next time you open it.
• The 15-minute average keeps going after the microphone briefly stops. The time with no measurement is shown in the PDF report.
• New Dim button while logging, for dark sanctuaries.
• "Right now" on Home now uses the same seating position correction as Service Monitor.

### 1.4 — 2026-10-07

• A clearer App Store page: new screenshots and description. The app works the same as version 1.3.

### 1.3 — 2026-10-06

• If the microphone stops during a service (a call, Siri, or the screen locking), the app keeps trying until measuring starts again.
• Position Correction: measuring again keeps your current correction until the new one is saved, and only the step that failed needs to be measured again.
• Stage Volume Check: on a different iPhone, you can start a new baseline.
• A calibration made on another iPhone is no longer used. The app shows "Different iPhone" until you calibrate this iPhone.
• Changing the calibration restarts the 15-minute average.
• The calibration steps now say to set the meter to Slow response.
• Report file names use your local date and time.
• Fixes for joining a team and for syncing.

### 1.2 — 2026-10-02

• Service logging keeps running when you go back to the home screen.
• If a call or Siri takes the microphone, measuring starts again when it is free. The screen stays on while logging.
• The 15-minute average on the home screen now includes position correction, the same as Service Monitor and the report.
• The highest 15-minute average is saved even when your church has no limit.
• You are asked before joining a team, and a copy of this iPhone's records is kept.
• See all past services, not only the latest five.
• You are asked before a log stops. Logs shorter than 1 minute are not saved.
• The subscription screen shows the plan name.
• Fixes for subscription status and team sync.

### 1.1 — 2026-10-02

This update adds "Redeem Code" to the Subscription screen, so you can use an offer code.
The Subscription screen now describes what is free and what is part of the subscription more clearly.
The free trial line is easier to read.
