In performance mode, the lyrics and chords all just run together. It is tough to see where verse ends, chorus begins, bridge starts, etc. Should have kept the app the way it was and left well enough alone. ### 2/5 — Less user friendly update *2026-07-25* One thing I enjoyed about the previous version (with 1.0 in the front and prior to end of July 2026) was that I could listen to the songs while the app was in the background. However, now the app must be on screen to listen to the songs. Also I lose the service I was in when I click on a song and instead have the entire song library in the “return to previous page” space. Some basic and helpful functions were taken away with the west update… I do appreciate the updated graphics in this updated version. ### 3/5 — Screen time out and will not rotate on screen *2026-07-16* The ap times out which a Big problem when performing on stage also while rehearsing with ap you have to continuously stop to open the ap again this should be priority fixes created a tech support ticket problem acknowledged but got impression they would get to it on their next update whenever that is ### 3/5 — Under-equipped *2025-11-29, version 1.6.8* I’ve used this app for several years and while it has some helpful functions like easy transpose, the fact that no major updates have happened in 4 years is quite telling. The mismatch of what you can do on the computer version vs the app version is puzzling. Support is slow to respond thus far. ### 3/5 — Track isolation *2023-09-27* I think it would be great if you could add the ability to isolate tracks within the audio (piano, guitar, bass, drums, percussion, etc.) so each musician can hear EXACTLY the part being played and how to properly reproduce it. I know the Planning Center app has this capability. I used it extensively at my last church I attended. That would be VERY helpful. Thanks. ### 2/5 — Good but not great. *2022-10-25, version 1.6.8* As a tool to view my set lists, works great haven’t had any issues. I’m primarily an app and iPad user, but the Create a New Service does not work and it makes it super frustrating to plan from an iPhone or iPad. Before, I could create a new service and add songs but it would never save the service so I’d have to log in on a browser, make the service there, then I can go back to adding on my phone or tablet. It’s a workaround that I shouldn’t have to do. Today; I tried to make create a service from my iPhone and it loaded someone else’s service that I do not know at all. Make the create a service button work the way it should. ### 3/5 — Love but very big downside for small mobile phones *2021-01-09* I love the app and the simplicity of it. My main complaint is the lack of screen zoom. Guitar tabs let’s you adjust the screen so you can see all the notes rather than having to swipe right and left on the screen. Not easy to do that while playing on stage ### 4/5 — Inclusivity *2020-12-12, version 1.6.5* This app is great! It is easy to use not only for singers but for musicians as well. However, if you want to sing Gospel music or revamp in any way, this is not the app for you. All they need to do is add the gospel versions of whatever contemporary song is already there. For example, “This is a move” by Bethel Music/ Brandon Lake would be on the app but not “This is a move” by Tasha Cobbs. If it’s possible to add both, just add it! God bless. ### 4/5 — Exporting Chord Charts??? *2020-01-26* I really love this App, with one minor request. Please add a feature to easily export chord charts to a PDF, similar to CCLI. In CCLI, I literally can pick which key I want a song in, click a button, and the chord chart is Immediately emailed to me as a PDF for easy import into OnSong. Thanks ### 2/5 — Bugs bugs bugs *2019-09-27, version 1.6.2* Potential for greatness but pulling up well short due to lack of maintenance and improvements. It won’t move from one song to the next if screen saver closes on iphone...it just stops. Or if it does continue (on the odd occasion) it will replay the last song...which would be a good option to include. When I receive a phone call it keeps playing in the background. Nooooo! You should be able to select, back 15 seconds. Instead I have to touch the little play line with my big fat finger and hope for the best. Please fix and I’ll upgrade to 5 stars. ### 4/5 — Notifications?? *2019-06-17* Love the simplicity of use with this app!! It really is helpful when you’re not sure if your key and has an abundance of songs to choose from. Any plans to include a notification feature though? I have to go into it daily to see if there have been changes made to our sets. Granted, the leaders should let us know, but notifications would be great. ### 3/5 — Good start off the blocks *2018-09-08* Updated to 3 stars Prompt response to trouble ticket - apparently system was down for short period of time? Able to build song lists but no way to remove songs from the list iPhone app either takes very long time to load or doesn’t load Signed up for free trial 1 star for a good start Able to setup my team and build some services and begin communicating Very pleased with the cache of songs and options that accompany them A couple of days later one of my assigned users could not login to the account - “email not recognized” As the owner I attempted to follow up to resolve by attempting to login, which also failed - “email not recognized” Then, could not find any way to contact WT directly Found a prior email from support@worshipteam and replied to it requesting resolution of this issue Received auto reply with a ticket number Will just have to see how quickly WT resolves the problem We cannot afford to waste time and money on a product that is unpredictable like this out the gate Have no clue what is going here ### 3/5 — Screen Timeout and Scrolling *2016-05-27* My only major complaints with this software is that the screen will time out when open. This is inconvenient because I have to stop playing in order to keep the screen on. Also, like Ultimate Guitar, it needs to have a play mode where the song gradually moves down the page as you play, so that you don't have to worry about interrupting your playing just to scroll down to see the next part in the song. Other than that, great app! We need to be able to change keys in performance mode as well in case of sudden last minute changes. Needs to optimize screen settings better, sometimes lyrics and chords run across my phone screen and I have to scroll left and right to see them, this is a huge pain while playing. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — They Removed Performance mode!! *2026-07-19* The new update has made this app now completely useless. They removed the performance mode, locked the screen into portrait mode, filled the header with a ton of clutter, forced the song map on top of the lyrics and it can’t be turned off. The services page truncates and smashes the info together making it unreadable. All of the adds for albums and artists are completely unnecessary. The app is now really only for people who want to listen to worship music instead of performing worship music. The app now allows the screen to time out!! Super frustrating for practicing and totally unusable for live performance. Time for our team to find a new app/service that supports live performance. ### 1/5 — Login not working *2019-10-13, version 1.6.2* I cannot log into the iPad or any other device except through a computer. Submitted a help ticket four days ago with no response. This is unusual for them. It stinks to get bad chord charts and have to redo all of them anyway because of wrong chords or the fact that they even make chord charts in a size 8 font! Who can even read that? I have perfect vision and can't do it. Just get Planning Center like the rest of the civilized world. #Bootsy ### 1/5 — Just misses the mark *2014-02-02* I do a bunch of church gigs as a working Christian musician and this app is close but not ready yet. Two big improvements need to be made immediately. 1. Play in the back ground. When I'm rehearsing or driving and my screen shuts off, there goes my music. Very irritating. 2. Allow the "practice" or "perform" mode to just stream and play with out having to select songs and hit play again. I feel like this app wasn't designed by a working musician. WorshipTeam has been my go to for years, and hundreds of worship sets later, it has served me like no other worship planning software has. I need solid, customizable chord charts fast, and to be able to notify teams anywhere I am in the world with the songs and charts in the keys I choose. I walk in, and my bands have pre-rehearsed in the keys I chose, and have solid, reliable chord charts that I have customized. When I saw that other worship planning software programs would not let me customize my chord charts, I was out. Every worship leader needs to make the set their own, and WorshipTeam.com makes that easy. If you are a worship leader, no matter what planning software you are using, may I encourage you to at least give WorshipTeam a spin. Use the free trial, and see if what I am saying is not true. And that is why I say, “WorshipTeam is simply the best.” ### 5/5 — New add people button and menus *2018-05-27* I love that I can add/invite a new person to my group right from the app now. The enhanced privacy features are nice and clear.
