Like so many sugar bytes plugs, feels like it was really designed for this platform and then ported elsewhere with fewer features at a much higher cost (why can’t we have those features on the pc version which costs 4times as much? PCs have touchscreens too..) Only flaw of this version is the preset management. The file structure is inaccessible, and there seems to be no option to save presets into the midi programs folder, which renders that very useful feature inoperable. It’s not addressed at all in the manual. I don’t know if maybe it’s a change in iOS that has broken something in the way it used to function, but right now there’s just no obvious way to use that feature. Still a great sounding filter though ### 4/5 — Very nice sounding filter but... *2021-04-16, version 2.5.2* I have a bug that cause the auv3 plug to be silent after a short period of time in AUM on iPad Air 4 at 96khz , I will investigate deeper but at this time I can’t use it anymore. Though I still encounter some minor hiccups on some of the more processor intense settings, it is worlds better. As far as I have seen and heard while noodling with it, is that it is very versatile and would be the one-stop shop for filtering duties. We'll see... ### 4/5 — I like Sugar *2013-12-15, version 2.0.3* This is a nice feature rich effect app not the same as Turnado but a nice compliment I've bought both and Thesys I like the fact Sugar bytes bring desktop quality to IOS. There was a bug when the app was released but it's been fixed the only thing this needs is a zoom function like the other Sugar Bytes Apps. Leider ist die GUI im unteren Screen überdimensioniert und die wesentlich spannenderen Einstellung als auch Presets super winzig gehalten und daher auf der Bühne nicht nutzbar. ..Auch wenn man die GUI x2 Zoomen kann, weshalb die App ihren Nutzen nicht im Workflow entfaltet. ### 2/5 — Crashes on open *2014-09-06, version 2.1.2* Used to love this app - it's really powerful and flexible - but the latest update has rendered it unusable. Need fix! ### 5/5 — Awesome Filtery Bliss in my DAW *2014-11-01, version 2.1.3* I feel like I've only scratched the surface so far, but this app has some amazing sounds and presets right out of the box. Very tweakable, and, once purchased, also becomes available as a plugin inside of Auria. Bonus! Pick it up now while it's on sale! ### 5/5 — Not as varied as Turnado, but some great filter/distortion sounds nonetheless *2014-04-20, version 2.1.0* I'll give this app 5-stars despite the fact that I think Turnado (also from Sugar Bytes) is more versatile, and I have similar gripes about the small layout and unfriendly interface for iPad use. The good news is that there is a HUGE bank of presets and some very unique filter/distortion effects to modify the clean signal from your input. Reviewing an app like WOW is almost impossible because there is almost an infinite number of sounds you can get from it, but it can be pretty overwhelming for a new user. Still, the option to modify anything from a vintage synth note in Cassini to a clean guitar signal from JamUp/BIAS in the SAME app is pretty cool.
