No narration. No sounds. Just a very basic SHORT video with some cutesy but annoying music. Nothing else to engage or entertain. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2023-08-20* If I could give no stars I would! I was excited to use these books with my daughter. I downloaded the app and followed the instructions. The app does NOTHING!! Very disappointing because I thought this would be a great way to extend my child learning beyond the book. ### 1/5 — Tried using for “song with me Old Macdonald” *2023-08-14* Nothing works on the app at all, useless to be honest even tho it seems like a great idea. I read the (few) instructions and tried to use it, but nothing happened. Reread the instructions to see if I missed something, tried again, and still nothing. I tried every page of the book, tapped all over the place, held it over a single page, both pages, kept it focused on the page for a minute and a half (I timed it), and nothing. There’s no indication that it’s doing anything, and nothing is happening. You have to hold the camera over the picture for forever, while holding a wiggly toddler and the book. It doesn’t tell you it’s loading or to hold so you think it’s broken. And then a blurry 5sec video played. Severally disappointed. All marketing to make you buy the book (which people would buy anyway) and get people to download and app! Don’t get suckered in ### 1/5 — Doesn’t appear app is maintained anymore *2021-12-09, version 2.7* My youngest was so excited to hear dinosaur sounds and songs but the videos won’t even load when I scan the book’s pages. That’s the whole point of the APP. There is no sound! The idea is great, but it is frustrating that the videos barely play and there is no sound. This really needs to be taken back to the drawing board and tested more fully before launching. Very disappointed in this feature which would add immensely to the content of the books. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2024-05-16* Downloaded the app and had the pages in frame, I went through every page (including the front cover and back) and nothing happened. I just deleted the app. It would of been great if it had worked but legitimately nothing happened. Very upset about it. ### 1/5 — Bad. Disappointing. Broken. *2024-04-17* I was so excited to use this book with my kids at school, but then when we went into the app, it wouldn’t work very disappointed and so are my kids. It worked one time on the pig, no sound and grainy video. Don’t waste your money on the books thinking the app will make them great. I don’t see these books listed on the app - I’m guessing they changed the titles for some newer ones and deleted the content for the older ones. Nothing happens when ‘scanning’ the pages. My books don’t have a ‘frame’ like the app shows. Really fun. ### 4/5 — Interactive-Sing download fail *2019-01-24, version 2.1* This app is fun for children wanting to see their pictures come to life. But the promise to get a few audio download from Twin Sisters or the 8 sings was a fail. We got a free download for a girly Valentine craft (which is very cute) but quite what we were going for. The fact remains that we purchased this book from Dollar Tree and it is a great product. As Christians we do teach Creationist science so we do church the "67 millions" of years theory. We love dinosaurs and this book is fun. Just wish the other promised things were available without hassle. ### 3/5 — Flora Mc *2021-05-14, version 2.7* Cool ideas but poor app design. The videos are way too short and the quality of the videos are not that good. To peak a child’s interest, I would think a 30 second to 1 minute video would be better. Also, like mentioned before, there is really no interaction in the app itself. One more thing, there is no way to close out of the app without swiping it in a certain direction. This could be so much better and the concept is great.
