In the little specialist world of HP calculators there has been a BIG project amongst the more tech savvy users to create for themselves the perfect HP calc, that from HP never quite was. This is basically that project, which reached maturity, and put onto an IOS device. So it deserves 5 stars. Thank you. It's not the prettyest HP calc on an IOS device, but that's to miss the point of this. ### 5/5 — Excellent calculator *2015-08-26, version 1.9* I downloaded both this one and the companion wp-31s, both are extremely well done. Just a FYI, the "show" command works differently in the two apps. I assume that the wp-31s behavior is correct and this app has a problem. Great apps other than that. ### 5/5 — Une RPN sinon rien ! *2015-04-01, version 1.9* Certainement une des plus belles réalisations de RPN HP mythiques dans le portage sur iPhone. Cette WP-34s est l'adaptation parfaite du célèbre modèle physique, lui-même issu d'un projet un peu "fou" de flasher les 20B ou 30B pour y placer les fonctions de plusieurs monstres de l'histoire des calculatrices: les HP 42S et 16C en tête! Les Beginner's Guide et Reference Manual sont disponibles en pdf sur le web. Fonctionne à merveille. Un must have tant pour les nostalgiques que ceux désirant une calculatrice RPN très puissante et parfaitement adaptée aux iPhone. Thanx. ### 5/5 — Well done *2014-05-20, version 1.5* an emulated version of the WP34s calculator. This was written by folks who used HP calculators in their field, so they know what's up. It's full featured, including scientific function, calculus, matrix, complex, and computer maths functions, and it's RPN. Seriously, give it a go! If you like RPN calculators you'd do yourself a disservice by passing this one up. I have the actual calculator and I love it. Extremely useful at university! This is a RPN aficionado's calculator. Has most all the functions you commonly need and works great. For fun I timed how long it takes my wife, a math major, to do complex calculations with std calc vs me using the rpn. I can consistently do the number crunching in 50% less time and with more accuracy. Interestingly, she could reduce her time by ~40% even after just learning how to use an rpn. ### 5/5 — An excellent RPN calculator *2013-07-18, version 1.2* I love the WP 34s calculator and use everyday use it on my desk. I'm very happy that I can use it on my iPhone. ### 5/5 — Remarquable calculatrice RPN programmable *2013-07-17, version 1.2* Avis du 27/3/13 sur la version 1.0 : L'implémentation pour iOS est absolument impeccable. Son seul défaut est qu'elle ne fonctionne pas sous iOS 4.3, système à ne pas dépasser sur d'anciens iPhones/iPods. En revanche, je découvre juste la calculatrice WP-34S, et après une phase d'enthousiasme où j'ai lu en détail toute la documentation, j'avoue être déçu. La matrice de points constituant la première ligne de l'affichage est peu lisible, et elle est aussi trop courte pour certains de mes anciens programmes (pour HP-41). Les noms de programmes ne peuvent pas avoir plus de 3 lettres. Les nombres entrés dans un programme sont décomposés en chiffres (un par pas), au lieu de s'afficher sous une forme directement lisible. L'appel de certaines fonctions est peu pratique, surtout en comparaison de la HP-42S. Ces critiques ne s'adressent évidemment pas au développeur de la présente version pour iOS, mais aux concepteurs initiaux de la WP-34S. Certes ils ont ajouté quelques constantes & fonctions utiles par rapport aux HP-41 & 42, mais pour mon usage personnel, ces deux-là sont infiniment plus rapides à utiliser. En conclusion, il s'agit d'une remarquable calculatrice RPN programmable, mais en ce qui me concerne, je préfère très nettement Free42 (également gratuite). ----- P.S. du 17/7/13 : Très belle mise à jour 1.2. Cette calculatrice gagne à la fois en lisibilité et en facilité d'utilisation. Merci beaucoup à Pascal Méheut ! Ça me fait du coup encore plus regretter de ne pas pouvoir l'installer sur mon vieil iPhone sous iOS 4.3 ;-). Bien que je reste attaché à la moins "hairy" Free42, il est désormais évident que WP-34S mérite aussi cinq étoiles. Bravo ! ### 5/5 — Great RPN calculator. *2013-07-14, version 1.1* I have a real WP34s which is a good calculator but when I don't have it to hand this is a great second best. Wonderful emulator. Other potential improvements: - annunciators could be a little bigger - multi-line stack, registers or program views ### 4/5 — With the latest update, lists are unreadable *2019-11-19, version 1.15.2* I have the HP30B and a converted WP34S. Beyond being fully programmable, it has a bewildering amount of functionality, so it's great to find vitally important user manuals are available. It works just like it's cousin here in the App Store: the WP31-S, except this has even more. The only downside: it takes a while to become familiar with the keypad. ### 5/5 — Fantastica calcolatrice programmabile *2021-01-25, version 1.18* Per usarla al meglio bisogna studiare il relativo manuale, peraltro ben fatto. La calcolatrice ha una quantità smodata di funzioni e, anche se ben organizzate, possono portare un po’ di confusione.
