Not live radio *2024-04-16* So frustrating trying to listen to live radio. If the app disconnects, you have to listen to ads when you reconnect, every time. You end up missing content. Better to listen to the Canes games on the Canes App. ### 2/5 — So so *2023-11-28* App usually crashes at least once. usually fine the second time. Also, love (not) how WRAL is fine with sticking streaming advertisement even when the radio host is still talking (ilo waiting for regular ad break). Or read an article. Or anything. Happens EVERY TIME. With all the money WRAL makes, you’d think they’d get a competent app programmer. Don’t bother with this app. Just check Yahoo Sports or any other functional app. ### 2/5 — Content great, app shuts down by itself *2022-03-31* After the latest revision, the app shuts down by itself more often than not on both my iPad and iPhone. Very frustrating! I’ve tried deleting it and re-downloading it and it makes no difference. The Contant, on the other hand, his first rate,and we are lucky to have such quality on the air folks in the triangle area. ### 2/5 — Good content, Terrible App *2019-07-30* Moved away from NC but like listening to the local coverage of the NC teams/schools. Try to listen through the app on my drive home everyday but the app constantly freezes, or doesn’t load at all and won’t begin. Also, the updates podcast section is garbage. Change it back to the old look that was easier to read. **Developer response:** We are sorry to hear you are experiencing problems listening to the radio live streams. It disconnects frequently each day and I’ve had to reinforce 3 times. I know there will be a delay but there shouldn't be that much of a delay! No story on the Canes game or the World Series game from night before Also, streams often cut-out and have to reload (phone has not changed position and wireless signal is strong). However, this latest version stops and gives a "File Error" at least a dozen times throughout the day. In addition, HD3 is barely audible compared to the other two channels. The content and programming is top notch, but the app itself leaves something to be desired. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — App has become worthless as time goes on! *2026-04-26* Very disappointed in this app which doesn’t reflect well for WRAL as a whole. So must for following sports in North Carolina. App throws more commercials thus less real content of “reporting” on sports! Has trouble staying open, very glitchy ### 1/5 — Used to be good *2023-12-02* I’ve had this app since basically since the beginning. Somehow the functionality has fallen off substantially. The content is fine, but the app force-feeds you a commercial or two EVERY TIME you toggle between the streaming channels. So if you don’t want to listen to one and want to see what’s on the other, you get another commercial. Not what you want to listen to and go back to the other channel?…here’s another commercial. And then if you’re especially unlucky, you get to leave the forced commercials and get dumped into a regularly scheduled commercial break for the content you’re so desperately trying to listen to! Utter garbage. Not to mention the fact that it crashes at least once every time you open it. It’s sad because this was my favorite app for years to listen to Triangle sports. ### 1/5 — Trash app *2023-11-27* Shuts down randomly. And now commercials right in the middle of programming while people are still talking? There is no commercial break the app just allows commercials to interupt. I have no idea why they would do this and now I have to search the app every time I want to listen to one of their interviews instead of just going to the podcast widget. **Developer response:** Thanks for the review.
